Beretta 92fs compact type L

Just picked up a nib Beretta 92fs compact. This is one of the older models, without the rail. Having owned a full size 92fs, I have to say that I prefer this gun over the larger model. Fits more easily in my smallish hands, same accuracy and incredible reliability. Great gun. Picked up some extra mags from CDNN. For those that like the feel of a metal gun, I strongly endorse the Beretta 92fs.

as I remember the compact takes the full size 15rd mags with no issues, correct?

takes the full size mags. they stick out a bit I have the 13 rounders and two ten rounders bought from CDNN at a great price

I have a still older one, 92SB Compact. It has always worked fine.

 

There are 15 round aftermarket mags for these that fit flush, but I find they are not 100% reliable like the factory ones. I have never had a single misfire or stoppage when using the 13 round.

Just an FYI, the 92 compact doesn't have a rail. The Inox M9A1 compact is the only i know of.

you are correct-the compact with rail is more accurately referred to as the m9A1 compact. my understanding is that essential differences are the rail, beveled mag well, and grip checkering in the A1
