Super Funky Custom 1911

Recommended Posts

This thing is unreal. Maybe we can start a Custom 1911 photo section here. Not typical photos, just extreme, funky or crazy like this...

Found it on facebook... Didn't know what to call it, so I labeled it the Jaw Gun...

[geek] It's a Grond gun![/geek]

"Great engines crawled across the field; and in the midst was a huge ram, great as a forest-tree a hundred feet in length, swinging on mighty chains. Long had it been forging in the dark smithies of Mordor, and its hideous head, founded of black steel, was shaped in the likeness of a ravening wolf; on it spells of ruin lay. Grond they named it, in memory of the Hammer of the Underworld of old. Great beasts drew it, orcs surrounded it, and behind walked mountain-trolls to wield it."

:)

That was started by Mark Krebs in the 90's (around 1997 maybe) as a side project to try and dress up a slide that was not spec/deformed on a custom build. I don't think it was ever finished. Don't even know how he would get a barrel bushing in there.

No bushing, uses a bull bbl and a plug for the recoil spring..something like that they use for the Defender-style compacts.

My brain wants to say awful, nasty things about it.  But my heart throbs for it.

Reminds me of a conversation in a Seinfeld episode:

I sense great vulnerability. A man-child crying out for love. An innocent orphan in the post-modern world.
.....I see a parasite. A sexually depraved miscreant who is seeking only to gratify its basest and most immediate urges.
Its struggle is man's struggle. It lifts my spirit.
.....It is a loathesome, offensive brute. Yet I can't look away.
It transcends time and space.
..... It sickens me.
I love it.
.....Me too.

Both of these handguns have literally zero rounds through them. I wish i was lying, these were both random purchases in the past not thinking of use or need. Both come in their respected boxes with everything that came with them. The Canik does come with a tlr-3 just because it fits well and i have a tlr-1 hl on my glock and my walther pdp pro.
      First pistol is a Armscor M1911 A2 45 ACP. Comes with one magazine.(10rd) $380.00
      Second is a Canik TP9SF Elite 9mm Comes with Two Magazines(10rd) $370.00
Cash/Paypal Sorry no trades. All transfers made via NJ FFL. All local laws apply. Buyer pays transfer fees at FFL. My FFL Is Louie GS In Secaucus(I live in bergen co)
Prices are final and non negotiable.
First Come first serve(I’ll take it) will update as needed.

      Hello,
I am new here and looking to sell my two hand guns (I have another post for a Glock G19 GEN5 that will have a description very similar to this post).

This post is for a Browning 22 1911 Black Label with fiber optic sights that I purchased new from Firearms Support and Storage June of 2019. I have used it a total of two times at RTSP in Union NJ and in it's lifetime it has shot only 390 rounds down range.
It comes with 2 10 round clips magazines - I have not used it since prior to covid, so I will give it the best cleaning I can before the sale.

The price is $400 plus FFL transfer fees.
If you have questions or if I can share any other photos, please let me know.
The first to post "I'll take it" wins the sale
      Thank you!

The crisp 4.5 – 5lb trigger pull means you can more easily put shots on target when it matters most. 3-Dot tritium sights and an extended beveled magazine will remind you that the TRP™ was designed for use in high stress places – where the environment works against target acquisition, and mag swaps have to be lightning fast. The Armory Kote™ or Stainless Steel finish will protect your TRP™ so it’s ready for the next mission.

For the past couple months I've been considering a Colt Compitetion (still not sure if I'm going to go 9 or 45).
I'll be using it mostly for IDPA shooting, where I'm currently rated  in the low end of the Sharpshooter class.
So as I'm getting ready to close in on a Colt Compitetion, Colt releases the same gun in series 70 and calls it "better".
I'm reading as much as I can on the re-introduced series 70, and wondering how much of a difference the series 70 might make over a series 80 for a shooter in my classification.
      Any thoughts?
