MidwestPX 172 Posted January 21, 2014 http://midwestpx.com/product_info.php?products_id=777 They're here and finally ready for sale! I can be extremely demanding of my suppliers and have rejected two batches of lower receivers because they weren't good enough to be sold under the Midwest PX brand. This third batch hit it out of the park though. I am very pleased with these feature-packed lowers that I can bring to market for almost half the price of the lowers I was benchmarking them against. Here's a full list of specs: *Manufactured from a solid billet aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum *Broached magazine well with drop free design and beveled bottom lip *CNC deep rotary engraved to exceed ATF depth requirements *MIL-A-8625 Type III Hard Anodizing (Deep Black) *Captured take down pin spring/detent (includes hardware) - Uses 1/16” Allen wrench. (Rear take-down pin spring may need to be trimmed if set screw is used to give proper tension on pin) *Upper/lower tensioning screw (includes hardware) - Uses 1/8” Allen wrench *Threaded bolt catch pin hole (includes hardware) - Uses 1/16” Allen wrench *Safety selector pocket notched for BAD 45 degree selector drop in with no modifications needed *Engraving accommodates 45 degree BAD, 60 degree Noveske, and 90 degree (standard) selectors *Compatible with Norgon and other aftermarket ambidextrous magazine releases *Integrated enhanced trigger guard *Low Shelf design to make full auto conversions for LE, MIL or post sample machine guns easier (RDIAS/RLL) *Continuous threading through receiver extension hole and pistol grip screw hole *Compatible with all lower parts kits, milspec and commercial receiver extensions, and most aftermarket parts. *The Tactical Link AR-15 Enhanced Battery Assist Lever WILL work with the PX-15 *Like most billet lowers, the Magpul BAD lever will NOT function properly on the PX-

pbkid6974 1 Posted January 23, 2014 FINALLY!!!! I've been waiting for these since I saw them in the AR pics thread. Just placed my order for one and a Geissele S3G trigger. You are still running the LPK special with the trigger, right?

pbkid6974 1 Posted February 8, 2014 well i just put my lower together minus buffer tube and stock. the only gripe i have is the small screw for the bolt catch stripped out where you put the allen wrench. hopefully i got it tight enough before it stripped out. other than that this is a fantastic lower. very solid and the finish is great. i cant believe i didn't scratch it trying to get the trigger in. The head of the bolt catch pin stripped out? I can have another one sent out to you if you'd like.

JimmyAGR 54 Posted February 19, 2014 Any word on the matching billet uppers?
MidwestPX 172 Posted February 19, 2014 Any word on the matching billet uppers? Looking like first week of March for sidechargers then a couple weeks after that for standard uppers. I expect the standard upper with lower to be in the $250 ballpark. The first run of uppers is being done generically. Subsequent batches should have our mark engraved prior to anodizing. We'll keep it subtle like our forged upper and place the mark above the charging handle where it would be covered by a BUIS.

Heavyopp 167 Posted February 19, 2014 These will start popping up in the stores that stock our mags. Some are headed to Shore Shot today. Is there a list of NJ dealers who would stock your stuff? Do these dealers set their own prices?
MidwestPX 172 Posted February 19, 2014 Is there a list of NJ dealers who would stock your stuff? Do these dealers set their own prices? See this thread for a list of dealers who stock our mags: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/41414-where-to-find-midwest-px-pmags/ Like most brands, we set a minimum advertised price (MAP) and a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP). Retailers are free to charge whatever they want provided they do not violate MAP in the process.

Heavyopp 167 Posted February 26, 2014 picked up 3 lowers yesterday from Jon at JG Firearms in Middlesex -- he happens to be a few minutes from my house I was going to order 3 directly from Ty and just have Jon do the transfer -- while talking about them Jon decided he would order a few and include my 3 in the order He's happy he did -- this may very well be the best deal in an AR 15 lower out there If you're in the market, you owe it to yourself to at least check these out -- Ty did an outstanding job a little thought goes a long way -- and Ty thought -- I absolutely love the idea of an Allen head screw to capture the takedown pin detent spring -- changing a stock, in the field, is now realistic -- no worries about losing that silly spring Anyway, I'm thrilled with the quality of the lower Jon at JG firearms had 7 more when I left him late Monday night -- at an unbelievable price for a billet lower -- pm me if you need contact info I'm anxiously waiting to see the matching upper

If you use the allen head to capture the takedown spring, trim about a 1/8" to 1/4" from the spring. You'll have ample pressure on the detent and it will make installation significantly easier.
