ANNOUNCEMENT: The Party of 6 would like to announce our first Tavern Meeting which will take place on June 25th, 2016 at 130pm. This would not be occurring without the direct support of RTSP, the premier indoor shooting range, store, and training facility. As the leader in the state of New Jersey for all things concerning firearms, the owners/operators of RTSP are patriots! RTSP and their magnificent facility are leading the way in direct support of the Party of Six. On June 25th, the Party of Six will host a meet and greet with the following: Mr. Albert Almeida, Mr. Michael Tumminelli, Mr. Mark Cheeseman and Mr. Stephen Stamboulieh (Lead Attorney for Almeida/Tumminelli). This is our opportunity to say thank and to answer all the questions that we possibly can. It will also give those who have yet to visit RTSP, a chance to see what they have to offer in way of sales, ranges and personnel. Additional guests will include but not limited to: Mr. Scott Kesterson of Kilroy Rising, a group who is in direct support of 2A causes at the national level as well as critical issues concerning our great country. Please mark your calendar and join us in the fight!

Athena Women's Defense
http://www.athenawomensdefense.com/
Athena is a club created by women shooters for women shooters. We are a group where women from all walks of life, ages and levels of experience can get together, learn from each other and further their marksmanship skills with others.
All Athena events are planned and supervised by women, to create a safe and more comfortable environment, including women new to the shooting sports, who may not feel as comfortable in what was once known as a "boys only" club. Certain events will allow for spouses to attend as well.
Our events are based out of RTSP in Randolph, NJ, a fun and safe learning environment that is women friendly, with much of the staff being women themselves.

We are very proud to announce a new section to our online store: Clearance. But unlike the Clearance department in some stores ours isn’t filled with undesirables. With the likes of FNH, Kimber, Magnum Research, Colt, Wilson Combat and Kriss this is not a Clearance section to be easily dismissed! How deep are the discounts on these guns? ...Deep! Most just 5% over cost. You aren’t ever going to see prices like this around here - even when guns are on sale!
So how does it work? If you find a firearm in our Web Store Clearance section print out the page, bring it in, and you will receive the discounted price.
How do you get to the Clearance section? Head on over to our website, and navigate to our Firearms On Hand Inventory. Once there you can choose your section: Handguns, Revolvers, Rifles, and Shotguns. At the top of each section is our Clearance selection.
Have fun and thanks for your loyalty.

This mindset baffles me. Shooting is a depreciating skill. If you don't practice, you will become worse at it. If you value your life enough to want to defend it, why would you rely on a skill that you don't practice? If the best I can do on a good day is scrape a pass on CCARE, I would be determined to get better at shooting - and yes I did see that you scored 98% - but your attitude appears to be that you shouldn't have to practice first. Trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps you mean that the government should not mandate that you have to meet any kind of standard before you can carry. I agree. There should not be any mandated quals. However, only a fool would be carrying a gun he can't use effectively. It does little to protect himself and creates a danger to everyone else because the misses will go on to hit something or someone after they miss the intended target.

OK let me explain. If you use your 9MM to qualify you will probably need to practice before you qualify so you go through 125 rds of ammo. Using expensive 9mm ammunition that's probably close to $0.40 around is costly. If you used your .22 LR pistol the price drops to less than 10 cents a round. I easily qualified with my Glock 226 ( 1 miss out of 50) but burned up a lot of ammo practicing. We should not be required to qualify to exercise a constitutional right and it should not cost a few hundred dollars to do so.

Up for sale a Nikon Monarch 1.5-4.5X20 Riflescope. Scope formerly sat on top of my old Mini 14, so it is used. It also has some aftermarket lens covers on them (Buffalo Creek I believe). I'm asking $100 for the scope. Willing to drive within an hour of Woodbridge or meet half way. Buyer pays any shipping costs. First to post "I'll take it" wins the scope.
