p12fanclub 0 Posted March 11, 2015 I recently became aware they provided services. Does anyone have experience with them? Specifically, 1911 and cerakote work ? Thanks for the input.
DeerSlayer 241 Posted March 11, 2015 Private message RTSP1, Peter is one of the owners. I'm sure he can explain their process to you. I'm not sure if they cerakote on premises, or send it out. They did a brake for me pinned and welded, as well as pinned stock. They do good work from what I've experienced. There are a bunch of custom cerakote guns there. I'm sure you can look at them and see if you like the results.
Gunnz 49 Posted March 14, 2015 I had some trigger work done on my GP100. The springs cost about $30 bucks. I know they did some polishing, but the bill was over $200 bucks. Check out Backwoods Custom coatings for cerakoting.
RTSP1 67 Posted March 18, 2015 P12, our gunsmith work is billed at $35.00 per half hour. Parts are passed on to the customer a little above cost to pay for admin and shipping costs. Cerakote is done on and off premises depending on what the project is. Hope that helps.
WKnight2 0 Posted March 19, 2015 Tom is one of the Smiths, and he is outstanding. And a really nice guy.

AVB-AMG 530 Posted April 15, 2015 The Gunsmith at RTSP installed Dawson Precision front and rear fiber optic sights that I had purchsed online directly from Dawson Precison, onto a new Walther PPQ M2 5" barrel 9mm pistol that I had ordered and purchased from RTSP. He was able to do the work the same day that I picked up and did the NICS registration at RTSP. The work required some minor filing of the recess on the rear of the slide to ensure a proper fit, which Dawson informs purchasers is necessary on this particular pistol. He (RTSP), did not charge me for the work and he did an excellent job.(I apologize for forgetting his name, but he is also a very nice guy.....) SirDaddy 0 Posted February 12, 2016 I found their gunsmiths to be very helpful. I used them only once so far about a year ago to fix a broken plunger tube on my 1911. I spoke to The one gunsmith Mike on the phone and he suggested I come in when the other gunsmith Tom is in because does a lot more 1911s. I met both of them when I was there and Tom fixed it while I waited. I was used to other guys elsewhere making me come back weeks later so was pleasantly surprised. I have to get back in there for other work I need done soon.
AVB-AMG 530 Posted February 12, 2016 As an update, both Tom and Mike have helped me out. They performed some desired modifications to my AR-15 and they also replaced trigger springs on my modified Glock 17 Gen 4. They both do quality work, charge fair labor rates and go the "extra mile" to ensure that their work satisfies both themselves and the customer. I can recommend them highly for both work and advice.
