I know people that have carried in Disney World. "People" meaning more than one. I guarantee you people carried there today.

People carried in NJ today too. Doesn't mean it is allowed. Disney is pretty strict about not carrying in the parks.

There is a huge difference.

Carrying in Jersey is 5 to 10 in prison. Usually 7.

In America, people don't call the cops if they catch you with a gun where they don't want you to have one. They tell you to put in in your car. This is not something Jersey residents would understand. And it is CERTAINLY not legal advice ;)

Disney World is not going to catch you with a gun. That's silly. And, if they did, they are not going to press charges. Nobody does.

There is a person I know very well that carried to a Phillies game. He noticed the two people in front of him were dressed in the same T-shirts and shorts, one guy, one girl. Then he noticed they were both printing. Then he noticed they both had wires coming out of their ears. Then he looked around and noticed that Joe Biden was seated about 15 feet away from him while he was carrying two guns.

You guys have no idea how the country works.

Did you also notice that neither of your Disney World CCWs had a valid FL CCW and your example at Disneyland in CA was a convicted Felon?

No example yet presented of a valid CCW license holder arrested for carrying at Disney World.

I said Disney banned guns. Never said it was illegal and you would be arrested. I said they will call the cops. They file a trespass against anyone bringing in a firearm. You won't be arrested if you have valid CCW but you will lose the $100 you spent that day on a ticket and you will possibly not be allowed back in the park in the future.

So Me 1 you and Mipa 0

Here is the official policy.

Here is an older incident where man was made to leave the park but not arrested.

Last year Disney got much more strict with their Anti-Gun Policy

Point being no guns in Disney.

We are in agreement this time Nick. The reason I was so sure firearms were not allowed is I was just at Disneyland in November and Disneyworld a couple years ago. You will without a doubt have a trespass signed against you and have to leave the park. If staying on Disney property more than likely your entire vacation will be over.

Yepper.  If it's a private place that isn't on the state list of places where carrying is prohibited by Fl. Statute (and that list is about to get a bit shorter, actually, if the current bill regarding it is passed), then you can carry there legally. And "no Carry" signs do not have any force or effect in the  law.  HOWEVER, if you are caught carrying by the property owner, they can ask you to leave. If you refuse to leave, then you've just committed an act of "Armed trespass..."  a 3rd degree felony in FL.   FS 810.09... Burglary and Trespass

Or, as said in PRNJ legalese,  a "crime of the third degree."  :D

Walt must be turning over in his grave. First they destroy his vision for Disneyworld. All of Epcot was supposed to be under a dome and the monorail was supposed to service everywhere including Celebration U.S.A. Now they go Left Wing Liberal and Anti-Gun.

Response to: Anything happening this month?

Yes, there are a few things in the works.  However the Appeals Court has not made a ruling yet.

We are not pushing as we would like Trump's SCOTUS appointment to be in place before we appeal there.

Having said that the court swamp in this country has been so badly infested with liberal slime over the past 40 years even the President of the United States can't get either the District COurt or the Circuit court to rule on the law.  We are in frightening times fellas.

I just hope DJT has some plan for dealing with these critters.  If he doesn't, it won't be too long before unarmed Americans will be inundated with terrorists.

Enough with the hyperbole. That nonsense creates as many anti's as far left propaganda. It's counter productive. I cringe every time I see it in the legal briefs you post. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE. Ugh.

There are those that fight for our 2A rights like SAPPA, the NRA, ANJRPC, NJ2AS, SAF and many others and what do we do?  We argue and complain about methods and find fault with EVERY single one.

We are a 2A group and we can't even come together on 2A!  No wonder nothing good ever happens for 2A in this God forsaken state!

Hey All,

Thanks so much for all your support and comments.

Nick and I and the others working on this almost everyday for over two years really do appreciate it.

For the gentleman that thinks I may be "touchy", you bet I am.  Because of the work we have done I can't answer my phone anymore and I never open my front door without looking out first to see who is knocking.  Only those involved in this can understand what the left does to stop this work.  Nick has been threatened with death and the FBI has informed him that his name has been found on a radical website's hit list.

So when people who are supposedly on our side, contribute snarky remarks which I see after having made yet another trip back from Trenton, yup, I do get just a bit "touchy".

Thanks again to everyone who understands the work and the sacrifices Mr. Purpura has invested in this project.  We will be posting another update in a few days,  A few things have happened that may be of interest to you.

Regards,

Dwight & Nick

Dwight, its glaringly obvious that NJ is using their strongest weapon-time. Trying to wear you out and I compliment you guys on your patience, not something I'm good with lol..Question, does your efforts get compromised or somehow minimized when there is a change of administration such as when a new gov/others are ele ted since some of your case is against specific persons who may not be around when/if your case goes to court?

Reply to: "Can this go on for years?"

For sure the Circuit Courts are the most difficult to get through.  There are ways to push the activity and if that is not done, especially for cases which will require the court to ignore the Constitution and rule ideologically, but Nick has told us not to push it at this time.

Right now the SAPPA Group has decided that this delay is beneficial to our case in that if the 3rd Circuit rules against us and it goes to the Supreme Court sitting at only 8 members, a 4 -4 tie would revert the case back to the Circuit Court and their ruling would stand.

So while we, on the outside, show concern over the delays, we actually have no problem them in the hope that the 9th Justice being appointed by Trump will turn the tide.  He has a great record of supporting the 2nd Amendment.

Hope this answers your question.

Dwight

Lime I said....9+ metal detectors at mk with disney swat and a heavy sheriff's presence

My guess knife or gun ur getting picked up

The police presence is unfortunate. We are sacrificing freedom for security. Never did I think America would look like Israel. Nothing I hate more than seeing cops with rifles on the street.

       HONEST GUN OWNERS TREATED
      THE SAME AS MURDERERS FOR
INADVERTENT, TECHNICAL LAW VIOLATIONS   No Violent Crime Required Rot in Jail for Years While Awaiting “Trial”
Tell Lawmakers to Fix or Oppose This Poorly-Crafted Bill
On Monday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m., the New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to consider A2426 – an apparently well-intentioned but badly botched piece of legislation whose intended purpose appears to be to throw the book at violent gun criminals – which law-abiding gun owners actually support.
But as written, the bill does not distinguish between violent criminal behavior and innocent technical infractions for the draconian presumption against bail to apply.  Law-abiding gun owners who inadvertently violate NJ’s thicket of hyper-technical firearms possession laws would be treated exactly the same as murderers—thrown in jail to rot for years without bail while they await trial someday for their “crimes.”
This is not an imagined concern, as the Garden State has a well-documented track record of throwing the book at honest gun owners for innocent technical infractions.  As written, this bill adds insult to injury and would throw honest gun owners in the gulag for years while they await trial for “infractions” like:
-Stopping for food, fuel, going to the bathroom, or medical treatment on the way to or from the target range.
-Transporting firearms to or from one’s place of business, a gun store, hunting, fishing, target shooting competitions, target ranges, re-enactments, gun buyback events, vacation homes or other destinations.
-Widows or widowers turning in firearms of their deceased spouses.
-Possession of antique and black powder firearms (even these firearms could trigger the draconian penalties under this bill).
PLEASE IMMEDIATELY CLICK HERE TO EMAIL EVERY ASSEMBLY MEMBER AND TELL THEM TO EITHER FIX OR OPPOSE A2426.  The law should distinguish between MERE POSSESSION of firearms by honest gun owners, vs. MISUSE of firearms by violent gun criminals, and draconian penalties like presumptive denial of bail should only apply to violent criminals who misuse firearms, and not to innocent mistakes of honest gun owners like technical possessory infractions where no violent misconduct is present.  Honest gun owners should not be treated the same as murderers!  Throw the book at the bad guys but take extreme care not to lump the good guys in with the bad.  The bill can easily be amended to make it clear that its penalties apply only to persons accused of violent criminal behavior.

Judge Kavanaugh and the Second Amendment
      http://www.scotusblog.com/2018/07/judge-kavanaugh-and-the-second-amendment/
"....Kennedy sided with his more conservative colleagues in finding a Second Amendment right to have a handgun in the home, and there is no reason to believe that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, if confirmed, is likely to disagree"
"....We know from his recorded dissents from the denial of review that Thomas would vote to review and overturn some existing gun laws, and we know that Gorsuch – at least to some extent – agrees with him. But it takes four votes to grant review in a case, and we do not know whether Roberts and Alito also agree with Thomas but have opted not to say so publicly, or whether they instead are content to leave the court’s gun-rights jurisprudence as it is."
".... just this week, the 9th Circuit struck down Hawaii’s ban on carrying weapons openly outside of the home; even if the case goes to the full 9th Circuit, the losing party is almost certain to ask the Supreme Court to weigh in."

Second Amendment challenge to New York state stun gun ban

A law suit was filed that challenges New York's stun gun ban based on second amendment issues.

      The filing is here:

Gun confiscation is one step closer in Connecticut. The mainstream media spins it as “one more chance” for non-compliant gun owners who failed to register their scary guns before the January 1 deadline.

In reality, these letters - 106 to rifle owners, and 108 more to residents with standard capacity magazines – are the first step in the Connecticut State Police beginning to round up guns arbitrarily made illegal last year in that state. These guns include America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15 and magazines over 10 rounds, which include the standard capacity magazines made for that America’s favorite rifle.

Failure to register is now a felony now in Connecticut.

How long will it be before there is bloodshed over this law? We’re not sure, but we’re confident it is coming unless the law is rescinded or struck down by the courts.

Mike Vanderboegh of the edgy Sipsey Street Irregulars released an open letter a couple of weeks ago, warning of what’s coming to Connecticut. The Connecticut State Police aren’t listening. Yet.

We suspect attitudes may change after the first few rounds of bloodshed.

As it stands right now, the best estimates are that 4% of newly-regulated guns and magazines in The Nutmeg State have been registered, leaving a hundred thousand or more newly classified potential felons looking over their shoulder.

Editor’s note: We’re not going to link to the article because they are hiding most of the content behind a paywall and we won’t drive thousands of readers to their website.

One more chance for gun owners

Manchester, CT (Journal Inquirer) – When state officials decided to accept some gun registrations and magazine declarations that arrived after a Jan. 4 deadline, they also had to deal with those applications that didn’t make the cut.

The state now holds signed and notarized letters saying those late applicants own rifles and magazines illegally.

But rather than turn that information over to prosecutors, state officials are giving the gun owners a chance to get rid of the weapons and magazines.

100 letters don't seem like much, but it might be their strategy to tackle a little at a time when it comes to the overall 100k non-compliant gun owners. I'm giving strong consideration to the idea of making future purchases outside state lines.
