NICS hours this Saturday?

Hi All,

 

I just want to confirm the hours for NICS this Saturday, I think they open up at 10 but because it's between Good Friday and Easter is there any change? Also they are closed on Good Friday, correct? I'd really like to pick up my new revolver this weekend and head over to RTSP and give it a try.

We'll see how it goes. Red Dot opens early on Saturday, I'll head over after breakfast fill out the paperwork and take a seat. I'm hoping to get my 4473 in as early as possible. I also wish NICS was working on Friday, techically that's my 30th day since the last purchase.

I hear yea, at that point it's brunch lol. I've been waiting to get my hands on this gun and take it to the range. I guess if it can't happen on Saturday I'll have to wait until Wednesday when I get some time off. I really hate waiting

Just an FYI, PICS is open 365 days a year. I guess that doesn't help if you want to buy a pistol, though.

Are FFL's allowed to do NICS with information submitted over the phone so you are approved without driving to the store? and fill out the 4473 when you pickup the gun? would save on making long round trips...

The reason I asked that...when I bought a rifle during the '13 panic I remember the FFL submitting NICS ahead of me showing up using information provided over the phone...my approval came back a few days later and I completed the 4473/NJ COE just dated it using the date NICS came back.

Really??? The guy I use put a NICS request in before I showed up to complete/sign the 4473
