M&P .22 compact vs Ruger Mark III opinions?

Recommended Posts

I'd forgotten about this thread, I'd love to know how your wife is making out with your new Ruger.

I have since purchased a 22/45 and am quite happy with it but my wife prefers her SR22.

She pretty much still has little interest in guns but seems to actually enjoy shooting the SR22!

I like it as well! It fits comfortably in my hand and shoots well!

I just picked up my mkIII 22/45 from GFH today and am extremely happy with it.  Had a slight issue with a pin walking out right of the box but Charlie (great guy by the way & thanks again for the help!) took care of it in no time at all.

The grip is much narrower than I had imagined, but the grip angle and weight are superb.  I also enjoyed the target sights it comes with and were dead on out of the box.

One thing's for sure... taking the thing down and reassembling it is a b*tch.  Lots of sharp edges and corners around the bolt...

great gun made better by the Majestic Arms Speed Strip kit IMHO , well worth it for me

allen key takes out pin / bolt slides out

i think some forum vendors on here carry it , i had Dino at Majestic install my MK speed kit along with new hammer which dropped the trigger pull to about 3lb. I'm not a tinkerer , so having Dino do it made sense for me.  FYI: he is in S.I.,NYC so leave your upper in NJ.
