Update from Stan:

We have added a shotgun event. Originally called Sniper elimination we have renamed it Palm Tree Clearance and maybe  next year we can call it Banzai Charge Neutralizer. A certified Shotgun instructor will be on hand and a loaner 97 Trench type shotgun can be utilized if you lack an appropriate shotgun. Ammo must be 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch 00 buck. Factory ammo only! Reloads are fine if its your own gun. Cabellas sells MILSPEC 12 gauge 00 Buck for $3 or $4 a box of five. Dull finish on brass and olive drab plastic. Emperor trophy has been replaced with the Banzai event. Loaner bayonets available (a vintage rifle without its bayonet has no soul!). If  you have an interest in military shotguns this presentation from a past meeting of the new jersey Arms Collectors is for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm99BLqgkKE&feature=youtu.be

Latest update and reminder from Stan:

"Greetings. Great opportunity to join us on Saturday for the annual VJ Day event. Low level friendly competition with the curios and relics of the Pacific campaign. Also a great opportunity to have any items you have inherited to be identified and assessed. For you younger shooters we have some action events. For those of us who carry a Medicare card next to the Firearms card we still allow shooting from the bench. The ammo shortage is over for center fire cartridges. For those who need exotic ammo be sure to call Jones Ammo at 973-625-2622 between 8-10 PM ASAP. Will can come up with anything the Japanese military used if given enough time. Save your brass as he reloads it. If there is sufficient demand we hope to have him deliver it to the range. This is a fun event and almost a gun show on the firing line. If you want Camp  Perry level competition go somewhere else."

Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Kim II Sung are all gone. Castro is on his way out. The Cold War is over and former Communist Block countries are moving from Marx to MasterCard. Many Combloc weapons has found their way into the free world as captured trophies while others have been shipped here, as those once enslaved by Communism have that Capitalism can be rewarding.
