Czech 98K Mauser with Scope >>> opinion wanted

Found this on GB ( u guys prob seen it, been floating there for some time) >>>

Wanted to ask our resident experts about their opinion on this rifle. Not original , original ? anything looks off? Price def not the best ...

The rifle was made after WW2 in the Brunn I or Brunn II factory. These rifle were sometimes made with wartime unfinished receivers like Swp45,Dou45,Dot 1944,and Dot 1945. Most of the rifles you see for sale have those marking scrubbed from the receiver ring and they were imported by Samco Arms. As for the scope it doesn't look like anything of WW2 German origin I have seen.

 

 

A postwar Czech K98 with matching bolt would sell for around $500 in good condition.If it has a WW2 coded receiver add $100-150. The scope and mount for $300 looks like a good deal if you want a scoped K98.

although I was hoping it was build before or during the WW2 ... I like my c&r arms to have some war history behind them :)
