.43 egyptian rolling block

There's an auction coming up in my area. Estate sale really. Lots of cool stuff.

 

What really caught my eye was an Egyptian rolling block. I've been trying to find prices but I only found one auction on one and the rest of the search is info on it, and how to reload for it. Anyone have any info on this? Would it even be worth picking up?

My buddy has one. I believe he had the barrel machined to fit a different round. I'll find out. I did shoot it and it was cool

Brass, when available, is about $4 a piece. I think you can make the brass from something else but involves special dies and fireforming IIRC. It takes an oddball 44 cal mold so you'll have to special order the mold and sizing die.

 

A friend is into making ammo for obselete cartridges. Not worth the effort AFAIC. If you want to spend several hundred dollars for equipment and lots of time reloading instead of shooting go for it if that's what floats your boat.
