mustang69 505 Posted April 13, 2016 Yes, I know the swap meet isn't what it used to be as far as car parts, but I've been going for so long I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't go. Anyone else going? I'll be in spot RI26 (that's R eye 26) all day Saturday. Stop by and introduce yourself. Dean

67gtonut 847 Posted April 14, 2016 I am thankful the GTO is done..... but I enjoy walking a swap meet to clear my head...... Have not been to Englishtown in years...... have done Carisle lately
mustang69 505 Posted April 14, 2016 My Mustang is never done. Every once in a while I find some parts for it, and I usually get my garage supplies there - latex gloves, carb & brake cleaner, that kind of stuff. Never know what "treasures" are hidden in someone else's junk pile. I have so much stuff I try and sell every year, ranging from Holley carbs and other car stuff, to tools, to yard equipment and everything in between. It's more a social event now. I've been going with the same guys for a good 25 years - we bring the grill and cooler, a canopy for the sun and just bs all day. Take turns watching the spot so we all get to walk around. I usually take all day friday to walk and sit at the spot Saturday.
ECsandstar 28 Posted April 14, 2016 I will most likely be there Saturday mulling around aimlessly with my fiance. Probably buying some junk i dont really need.
jrfly3006 42 Posted April 14, 2016 There's usually an army-navy type stand along the back fence which has great condition ammo cans for a decent price if anyone needs. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
Schrödinger's cat 87 Posted April 14, 2016 I've never heard of this, I'm not as much into cars as needing to learn how to fix things as my car gets older. Would this be a good place to try to find used tools ? I need a better floor jack and a decent torque wrench.
SmittyMHS 603 Posted April 14, 2016 Other then Harbor Freight, its the best place for tools and stuff. As long as your not making your living with HF tools. LOL You can find great deals on jacks and things like that. I got my engine puller there for $110. New, used tools...if you need something, its there. If you lost your 9/16 Craftsman open end wrench, you can get a replacement there without having to buy a whole set cheaper then getting just the wrench at Sears. I don't "need" anything and I'm trying to convince myself I don't "need" to go. I must have something better to do.... maybe not.
Rob0115 1,105 Posted April 24, 2016 This used to be one of my favorite events years. Cars, parts, heaven.
