The only one I caught the other day wasn't even big enough to fit in my palm lol.

I don't fish for Large mouth much but when it gets to warm for the trout I chase the small mouth in the rivers with an ultralight rod. So much fun! they hold me over till the fall comes and I start chasing the trout again.

Trout season is right now!

Yeah I know, I dont fish the spring season allot, to many fair weather fishermen. plus I wont get out allot of time on the water with the baby and all this spring. I prefer the fall and winter for trout fishing. Cold weather = empty rivers that are still full of fish. When I do trout fish in the spring I usually hit the small creeks that most fishermen pass by. Ive caught some really nice holdovers in creeks less than 4 feet wide!

When the built my development they put in a lake for rain drainage. They stocked it after they built it. The bass get bigger every year and now they are that size I guess. It's like 4 houses away and fenced in so I tend to go a couple times a week

 

I also fish at my gun club. We have a beautiful private lake that's all catch and release.

Where'd ya find the Trump shirt?  I need one...  

 

Took my little guy fishing the other day.  I was out for catfish, set him up with a little bobber.  He got 1, I basically offered a worm buffet.  99 bites but a hook aint one.

 

... Fishing for bass is too complicated for me I like to just cast the line and sip beer until something bites it.

I know that club. Tucked back in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful property.  Been there many times for parties of all kinds. I never saw the range but the bar is always stocked!

Caught so far this year:

 

Largemouth bass, black crappie, white crappie, yellow perch, white perch, brook trout, brown trout, bullhead catfish, various sunnies, muskies, chain pickerel.
