L & H Woods & Water?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any info on this place?  Surprised I never heard about it until now.  I have 1 more P2P left and was thinking about checking them out.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've been there a few times.  It's a nice place, friendly, not a huge firearms selection.  Sent a friend with a P2P there and he walked out with a facial deformity as a result of the ear to ear grin he had after buying a near mint used S&W .357 snubby.  It's a classic old school outdoorsman sporting goods store.  Reminds me a little bit of what Bob Kislin's used to be.

Heck, I pass L & H all the time. I didn't know they had firearms. I wonder if they have reloading supplies?

Kislin's was right around the corner from me. Man I miss that place. Got some good deals when they had their "retirement" sale.

L&H will hand you anything off the wall that you want to look at without needing to see an ID card.  They will talk your ear off about guns.  It's a true brick and mortar, and is not a chain.  Personally I like the place.  It's comfortable without being like the Barber Shop in Grand Torino.

i agree great place spent a couple hours there one night talking to the guy behind the gun counter, he just kept handing me pistols all night even though he knew i wasn't going to buy anything that day.  Prices aren't that high, some of the performance center guns were right in line with the best shops and online.  Good supply of accessories, but nothing for a reloader.

The guy there kept pulling firearms out of the case and showing them to me and I wasn't even asking him to - even after he knew I had my mind set on the only one I asked to see.

Ended up buying a 1911 that I had been looking for some time and a decent price. He even asked if the price was in line with what I expected.

Very friendly, clean store.
