jm1827 284 Posted May 4, 2016 Anyone have any info on this place? Surprised I never heard about it until now. I have 1 more P2P left and was thinking about checking them out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Danno 127 Posted May 4, 2016 It's a nice store but kind of pricey.
Scorpio64 5,147 Posted May 4, 2016 I've been there a few times. It's a nice place, friendly, not a huge firearms selection. Sent a friend with a P2P there and he walked out with a facial deformity as a result of the ear to ear grin he had after buying a near mint used S&W .357 snubby. It's a classic old school outdoorsman sporting goods store. Reminds me a little bit of what Bob Kislin's used to be.
Pine Baron 10 Posted May 4, 2016 Heck, I pass L & H all the time. I didn't know they had firearms. I wonder if they have reloading supplies? Kislin's was right around the corner from me. Man I miss that place. Got some good deals when they had their "retirement" sale.
Njbanshee 9 Posted May 4, 2016 L&H is pricey as shit and has very little inventory. Sometimes they have a diamond in the rough hiding in the back I remember shopping at kislins when I was a little guy.
djg0770 481 Posted May 4, 2016 L&H will hand you anything off the wall that you want to look at without needing to see an ID card. They will talk your ear off about guns. It's a true brick and mortar, and is not a chain. Personally I like the place. It's comfortable without being like the Barber Shop in Grand Torino.
jm1827 284 Posted May 4, 2016 Thanks everyone, I think I need to at least check them out.
DeletePLS 178 Posted May 4, 2016 i agree great place spent a couple hours there one night talking to the guy behind the gun counter, he just kept handing me pistols all night even though he knew i wasn't going to buy anything that day. Prices aren't that high, some of the performance center guns were right in line with the best shops and online. Good supply of accessories, but nothing for a reloader. SmartAss 11 Posted May 4, 2016 The guy there kept pulling firearms out of the case and showing them to me and I wasn't even asking him to - even after he knew I had my mind set on the only one I asked to see. Ended up buying a 1911 that I had been looking for some time and a decent price. He even asked if the price was in line with what I expected. Very friendly, clean store. TheMan 45 Posted May 4, 2016 Nice place. I am there often and the prices really are not that bad at all. Ive seen hire prices elsewhere. Bought a sig sp2022 for 490 out the door about a year back.
PeteF 1,044 Posted May 5, 2016 Got my sig 522 there. No one else had it stocked. They had it at the same price as I could find online. Even OOS places. I would shop them again.
