Bushnell TRS-25 on 870?

One more question regarding regarding my 870 project...

 

How well will a Bushell TRS-25 handle the recoil from an 870?

 

The reason that I'm asking is that I've got a old TRS sitting in my parts drawer and rather than letting it sit there an gather dust, i'm thinking about putting it on the 870.

 

The scope is going to mounted to a Mesa Tactical sidesaddle that has the integrated picatinny rail rather than a rail that is attached to the receiver directly (less recoil impulse?).

Not the same comparison by any measure, but I've got a TRS-25 that's getting bashed around on my AR and it hasn't fallen apart yet.  It also seems to hold zero pretty well.  I say give 'er a go.

It will survive. Had on one my 590A1 before I moved it to my AR. No issues at all.

Thanks - I'll give it a try and see what happens after 100 rounds or so
