Ammo sales during Memorial Day weekend?

Recommended Posts

Not new to shooting but new to buying ammo in bulk online. There has been a slow steady creep in pricing. Looking to buy in bulk multiple calibers. Has Memorial day weekend historically been a time when online dealers have specials on bulk buys? Or do I just do the standard ammoseek type search and buy now?

SGAmmo.com is good for a baseline price.  I suspect sales will be around this weekend starting as soon as Thursday perhaps.  Need to keep checking to catch a good one.  Slickguns.com is website where buyers post sales they have found, also.  I have not had much use for Ammoseek, com and others like it.

Its a matter of luck/waiting it out until you snag a deal.. Sign up for email updates to a lot of the major sites; I Caught freedommunitions.com on a sale and got 10-15% off all of my ammo PLUS free shipping... 25.2 cents per round, shipped to my door for free, for ANY quantity (ordered 1,000; should have ordered more) for reloaded .223. Was worried as i've never shot reloads but these things are as new as the new ammo i purchased from them, as well.

SGammo is another big supplier for me. Purchased 1200 rds of IMI 556 from them, as well.

Freedommunitions may be doing another sale for memorial day weekend. I haven't shot TOO much but no issues so far with the ~150 rds of .223 and 50 or so rounds of .45 i shot. 223 was reloaded, 45 was new.

I'm waiting to see what Freedommunitions will do for the weekend deals. Shipping is always a consideration when buying in bulk. If your looking for just a couple hundred rounds of this or that the Sportsmans guide is always having free shipping on anything over $49.

Sportsmans Guide has Free Shipping on $49 order or more going on right now - no brainer if you want to buy ammo - I usually buy from them once every month or two at 250-500 rounds at a time and the no sales tax and free shipping gets me a ton of savings each time.

Good to know for sportmans on smaller orders. At the moment looking for 4k+ on 5.56, 1k each for 40sw and 45 for both target and go rounds. So pennies here and there add up. The sucky part of the search engines, you need to search then figure out the shipping. And some of the real low prices charge 3% for debit purchase

SGammo is definitely my go too as well and they have good pricing across the board. If you can find it cheaper somewhere else it's definitely a deal. Target Sports USA and have some good deals and I've fired thousands of rounds from freedom munitions (mostly pistol but also rifle) without an issue. SGammo lists their shipping rate for each case and Target sports has free shipping on bulk ammo (obviously it's built in but makes it easy to figure). Good luck.

Yeah SGammo has definitely been hard to beat, especially when ordering a few thousand at a time as they combine shipping.
Only place i've found cheaper was when i ordered 200 rds of cheapo steel cased wolf 30-06 (Was cheaper to  buy from a place with free shipping), and i forgot where i bought that. Something with an N. Last order was half thru SG (New ammo) and a bunch of misc reman and new 9mm, 45, 223 @ Freedommunitions with their sale.
