Getting Pissed At Leopold (Deltapoint Pro)

Recommended Posts

Was deciding between trijicon rmr and Deltapoint Pro for my fnx. Decided on the Leopold mostly because of the ability to change the battery without removing the sight and the motion sensing feature. Apparently the new pro models needed adapter plates for s&w core and fnx due to the curved design of the new sight. Leopold's been promising this adapter for months now. It's a simple plate, how hard could it be to make?

Just venting, but if you own either a core or fnx and want a Deltapoint Pro, you're SOL until further notice. Avoid

Can you have a machine shop CNC one up for you?

Gotta be careful making any assumptions with slide-mounted red dots unless you buy the "standard" Trijicon RMR.

I followed similar decision process as OP to get the Leupold DP Pro for my glock 19 MOS.  Only found out after I had it mounted that no one makes irons sights tall enough to co-witness with it.

actually i was reading in the fnx forums that the simple solution is to file down the end of the sight. apparently the issue is that the new pro version has a little curve on the barrel end that the deltapoint 1 didnt. file this down enough and it fits in the standard mount. i mean i guess i could do it, but on a $500 optic i shouldn't have to
