help with barrel choice

Recommended Posts

From a practical side, FDE or Olive drab was intended to blend in with the landscape. You know, camoflage. FDE is the polar opposite of Olive D.

Persoanlly, i would just paint the olive, black.

Not entirely sure I agree with this. In NJ your better off with an FDE color, but OD accents help to hide in foliage. The one thing you don't want with camo is solid single colors.. really defeats the purpose. Some of the best camo out there is mossy oak break up and is a combination of browns and greens for temperate forest climates.

Yep - it's more of breaking up your silhouette vs any specific color.

I've played airsoft wearing a camoflage with bright blue (Chinese PLA Type 87 Marine) on it and have been passed by at close range by several players before.

Maybe I should ahve said that FDE was meant for desert landscapes and Olive Drab for places with more foliage.

Just my persoanl opinion, but I'm not fond of the combination.

Looks like you are around 2 MOA.  Thats about right for the type of ammo you are using, with green tip being the worst.

Match ammo or handloads should bring you around 1 MOA (more or less).  Obviously, you have to do your part too...
