Hollow Point Shotgun Ammunition

Is it legal to have hollow point shotgun slugs in nj? I know there is some restriction with handgun ammunition being hp but wasnt sure about shotgun rounds. I just received a shipment i placed from cabelas and the box states hollow point rifled slug, did not state that online. Just want to know if i can get in trouble in the event im stopped on the way to the range with these.

Perfectly fine - just follow the same precautions as you would use in transporting a handgun.  If you're on the way to a range, you're fine.

Don't use them when committing a crime, its an additional charge. Otherwise, to the range you're fine.

Although i just noticed the federals i bought from my local shop are hollow point as well but dont say so on the box. Are all shotgun slugs hollow point?

Not all are hollow point.  Also - I hope you got rifled slugs unless you have a rifled shotgun barrel....
