Good sight for Ruger 10/22 Takedown?

Recommended Posts

Hey there. Picked up a 10/22 Takedown, the Kryptek ones with the Stainless receiver/barrel. Looking for a somewhat inexpensive piece of glass to put on it. I'm completely at a loss as to what to put on it.
I Currently still have an ACOG on my AR with a Docter red dot on it, so the burris 332 that was on the AR is just sitting in the safe..

I Am also actively looking for a bassett mount for my M1a, which will need a sight..

Current lineup of scoped/sighted/railed (or to be railed) firearms:

Smith & Wesson MP15-22 with a Vortex strikefire on it

Springfield M1A Standard with archangel stock (may put original OD one back on), trying to find a deal on a bassett mount. Will need something magnified for this as id like to turn it into a sniper of sorts. Not too big a fan of my Savage 111 with the crappy scope on it, so this will be my go to for distance shooting.

D.D. DDM4V5 LW ( believe that was the model) with 4x Acog & Docter on it

And, the 10/22 takedown that is in need of something.

Not sure if to put the burris on it; i think its too heavy and bulky. I think the OPTIMAL thing would be a reflex sight. The question is, do i take the docter off of the ACOG and buy a mount to put it on this? Not sure what to do. Haven't even sighted in the docter, yet. I know it works, though..

Let me know what you guys think. I don't want to spend 200$+ on a decent reflex so thats probably my best bet.. If i decide to sell the ACOG i'll probably remove it but will then have a good chunk of cash to spend on a reflex and the burris can go back on the AR or something.

Feel free to suggest something for the m1a as well, though im more interested in setting up the 10/22 right now.
Thanks!

My takedown runs with a decent RDS such as a primary arms or burris trs-25. The takedown will never be a 22LR tack driver, just not in its nature.  I have used Skinner iron sights on my levers and considered it on the TD but used a RDS I had in the drawer.  Works fine out to 50 yds.

The 10/22 came with a rail.
The Docter is on a weird mount as it is piggy packing on the ACOG (Docter sight is the older version of the RMR, before trijicon made their own). It doesnt have a pic mount, so i'd have to see if one exists online. Its like a scope ring that's upside down with a flat plate and wings to protect the sight... haha ill try and upload photos tomorrow if i have time.
