fatty 241 Posted August 9, 2016 Many years ago I went to a range called the Bullet Stop, outside of Atlanta. It had the most impressive rental wall of FA firearms I've ever seen, and they also let people bring in anything they wanted as targets. They'd just sweep out/hose out the bays as necessary. I asked the RO what people had brought in. He said watermelons were popular, occasionally personal computers...but the one everyone remembered was the woman who brought in several boxes of her soon-to-be-ex-husbands bowling trophies. She lined them up, and reduced them to small shards of plastic, wood, and marble. That's probably where I went. It's pricey but worth it. I try to stop by there once a year whole I'm out on business
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted August 9, 2016 I recognized the ammo as 7.62X54R but was not aware that there was an AK variant that used that round! Romanian manufacture based on the X pattern on the magazine. Wow, sold for around $500 new at AIM Surplus five years ago, now $2,000 and up! http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1CPSL You can get a VEPR 7.62x54R for under $1k. https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/vepr-762x54r-20-barrel-rifle-detail.html?Itemid=
