The seminar is at the Morristown Hyatt on August 19th from 6 to 9 PM. At $10 that would seem to be a bargain.

 

It's apparently run by U.S. Law Shield. The 'syllabus' of the seminar is on the event registration page under FAQ, but is not that specific. If anyone finds more detail please post it.

 

On another note, I'm currently reading The Law of Self Defense. It's got some fascinating information in it, very pertinent to this topic. Here is a sneak peek.

I'm curious as to syllabus and instructors as well.    If it has local experts and is tailored to NJ, it could be quite valuable.  If it's the same content presented in every state on the schedule, it's a lot less valuable to us in NJ, where complying with the local laws is enormously more difficult than worrying about the federal laws.

Looks interesting but like you guys said is it tailored to NJ or typical fed guidelines. I emailed them if local NJ guys will be there, will see if I get a response. But for $10 cant go wrong but I may be away.

Evan Nappen did the one in New Brunswick- well worth it. He has a relationship with US Law Shield so maybe he is doing this one too

There are two coming up in New Brunswick:

It would be awesome if Nappen was going to be at one, but I called to ask and as of 8/12/2016 neither date has speakers listed. They say you can do walk-ins for the seminars, though they greatly prefer advance registration.

Went to Morristown last night and Nappen was the speaker, Three hours with a break in the middle. First half was Nappen explaining N.J. gun laws and do's and don'ts. The second half was Q&A. All questions answered and he even stayed for a while after it was over to answer more questions. Show was hosted by U.S. law shield, and during the break they are selling memberships and are a little too forward for my liking. I am not familiar with their group and just wanted more info before joining and he just kept saying "this deal is only good tonight". Sort of like time share salesman. Did some research today and I will probably join, but I will go to the New Brunswick show to get the "special deal only good tonight".

Looks like a bit of a scam IMO- but it is only $10.
