Howard 538 Posted September 17, 2016 I already had the NJ "USPSA" plate and today the "IDPA" one arrived!
10X 3,278 Posted September 17, 2016 Very cool! Of course, when NJ DMV figures out what they mean, they'll recall them as 'obscene/offensive'.
Howard 538 Posted September 17, 2016 Very cool! Of course, when NJ DMV figures out what they mean, they'll recall them as 'obscene/offensive'. No clue what you are talking about. The first one stands for I Don't Practice Anymore and the second one stands for United States Postal Service Administration. How could those be obscene or offensive?
maintenanceguy 509 Posted September 17, 2016 I looked into getting these made a couple of years ago. If 500 people order, NJ will make a custom plate for any non-profit organization. They turned down a right-to-life plate a few years ago and lost the battle in court and had to make the plate - so I would think they'd be in a week position to turn us down. I actually would like a "right to carry" plate better now.

New Jersey and "NO Right to Carry HERE" and "IS Infringed" seem more appropriate to get the word out that we are NOT free in this lousy state!

Their state may have had the constitution written in it. But they don't follow it...

maintenanceguy 509 Posted September 18, 2016 I would be into getting the custom plate for a non profit. The logistics were the problem. 1) We'd need a non profit organization. 2) We'd need 500 people to commit. 3) When it came time to actually do it, if 1 of those 500 drops out and we're left with 499, it doesn't happen. DirtyDigz 1,793 Posted September 18, 2016 I'm in. Don't launch until you have 550 people signed up. That way if ~10% don't pay up you still have your minimum. NJ2AS or CNJFO would be good to coordinate this - probably have more reach than one or two billboards.

NRA is nonprofit or at very least has nonprofit subgroup. While I don't like advertising I have guns to the general public the irony of NJ sending the NRA a check is enough to REALLY, REALLY tempt me.
