BEST small fireproof safe?

Hi,

 

I do not have a safe for my 3 handguns and I am doing some research. I want a smallish type safe with the BEST fireproof rating with a budget right around $500.00. I really dont foresee myself purchasing any

long guns, so the smaller size is what I am looking for. I really like the ones with the felt lining too where I can also store stuff like important documents like mortgage, insurance, etc.

 

I am in a condo, so I am somewhat limited with placement. I do have great condo insurance, but all my important documents are just in my office file cabinet and I really want to get them all in a more secure environment.

 

Any suggestions or links??

Better bolt it down though. They won't worry about breaking it open on the spot. They'll just pick it up and walk away. As for fire rating vs guns... Most guns will be ruined anyway because the fire will turn the safe into a pressure cooker. The heat will melt poly, warp and burn wood, etc. Of course unless the fire never reaches it or is put out fast.

 

Also, for 500 bux or so, there are bigger alternatives if you can easily get them to where you want them.
