The ultimate anti liberal gun build thread

Recommended Posts

Everyone has gone through the process of taking a perfectly fine Ar15 or the like and had to chop those oh so scary evil features off. This build is different, this build right here is the bane of the anti gunner existence. First we start with the humble SKS, the Grand pappy of the most notorious rifle ever. There's big plans for this bad boy in the future but let's start slow.

First I chopped the barrel to 16.5inches, that's it I've gotten that far today. I'm working on shaping the end to be more appealing and once I get some compound I will put a nice crown on it. I'm currently waiting for a bolt on sight as well as a new side folding stock. After that the plan is to get the barrel threaded and I'm going to stick the most flash hidingiest flash hider that ever existed. Hell I might even throw one of those pistol bayonets on it because hey let's cram as many "assault" features as possible in there. Did I mention this is 100% legal??

Here's some pics from last night and today. This will be updated as soon as I get the parts on hand to finish it.

I like the look of that vise ! What did you cut it with ?

Thanks I've got a decent set up at work. I used a Dremel to cut a guide line and then used a hack saw to cut the barrel fully. I'm doing file work to reshape the muzzle and need to crown it

If it's semi auto how many evil features can you have? The ban isn't on AR 15 rifles its on any semi-auto. The AR has a detachable mag and a pistol grip. That's the two so all others are no-no. If you have a detachable mag on your SKS and no pistol grip you get one more.

What am I missing?

Sks with detachable mag is banned by name. If you keep the fixed mag it doesn't fall under the assault rifle guidelines. 820f3381ba262cb4f87539c3c75e817b.jpg

Yeah I didn't know that till now. Thanks guys. Good luck with the build.

All these rules, each of which is stupid, make it really hard to tell what's what.

So all parts are ordered and should be in next week.

Trueshot gen 3 sight: clamps right on

ATI strike force 6 position side folding stock: I need to modify this for the mag

Tapco 10 round detachable mag: I've seen a way to make this a fixed mag by inserting a rivet on the latch to only allow it to be removed if I disassemble the gun. Similar to what they do in Cali

It already has a ten round fixed mag. Why mess with it?

Additionally, NJ doesn't have a provision for making a removable mag permanent like California does. Tread carefully.

Don't turn your "finger in the eyes of NJ liberals" into your wrists in 'cuffs.

Compliance part

Of course the parts are being shipped to my cousins in PA where the gun will be assembled. I don't see how making the mag fixed is any different then making them capacity compliant. If it doesn't work then non compliant parts will be left there

I also ordered the gas tube and piston so I can have the original mag and still be compliant.

I can still mess with the mag out of state. The stock I have doesn't even work with the mag as is

Well it's all together and compliant. Still need to get the barrel threaded and add a red dot. I'm hoping that top rail will hold a decent zero out to 100 yards, it's on there pretty damn solid. 16ab44c9431b0e3e3deb9563a9b07e13.jpg3cf79d179fba9303c0d90717ba276f65.jpg

No purple?

You should weld the lug back on and reshape to a paratrooper profile.

I'm hoping geiselle makes this a reality

Tan was the cheapest color of the stock to get with the intentions of painting it. I saw a sweet tutorial on multicam

Very cool Bubba build! You inspired me to do something similar to my non matching #s Yugo SKS.

I have a Brass Stacker SKS see thru Scout Scope mount coming. I talked to Mike at Tier 1 yesterday about the build. He said yes, you can replace the stock mag for a non removable 20 rd mag pinned to 15 even. Also suggested cutting the barrel to 14.5 and adding a flash hider to bring it into compliance. I want to see how it shoots before I decide which way I'm going with it.  If it doesn't shoot well stock, why bother...except it would look cool...
