Gun Show Customers' License Plates Come Under Scrutiny

Interesting article in Wall Street Journal about how license plate scanning technology was used by fed + state authorities outside of a gun show... and how some think that runs afoul of FOPA and 2A (e.g., too broad, creates a registry of sorts, etc). Thought it was pertinent and worth sharing.

I know that border patrol has undercover agents go through the parking lots of gun shows near the canadian border and they record the canadian license plates. When the cars wait to cross back into Canada they are pulled out of the line by US customs and the car is ransacked. If they have anything at all, dies, some casings, anything, there is a lot of serious trouble.

pretty simple. park your car, cover your plates. just remember to uncover them before you leave.
