LaRue MBT Trigger

Recommended Posts

Alex, what are your thoughts when trying the SSA-E and the MBT one after the other ?

So I just spent the last 20minutes proned out on my living room floor with my 7.62 OBR with MBT and my 5.56 Noveske SPR with SSA-E.

Man it's hard to decide. I really like the flat face of the MBT, it helps build the grip and make sure your finger is perpendicular to the trigger travel.

For some reason the first stage feels better on the MBT but I don't know if I can quantify it. It feels the same weight as the SSA-E but I feel like the wall before the second stage is more pronounced. I can work the first stage on the MBT a lot more accurately without dropping the hammer. What I mean is if I fingerbang the trigger and wiggle the first stage, I am less likely to drop the hammer on the MBT over the SSA-E. Once again, hard to explain why.

When I take my time, the second stage feels almost identical. Both very very crisp.

Reset feels the same on both but is louder on the MBT.

Once again, this was just dry fire. Haven't actually shot the MBT yet.

I let my wife do the same evaluation. She could not explain why but said the SSA-E felt better.

So there you go. Totally inconclusive lol
