GRIZ 3,369 Posted November 17, 2016 how is that legal????? Marijuana is still illegal under Federal law. Gun has moved or might be moved in interstate commerce. Feds can make marijuana use of any type disqualifying to buy a gun at a FFL.

HBecwithFn7 296 Posted November 17, 2016 And, the form must be filled out at the dealer's premises. Sent from an undisclosed location via Tapatalk. I know several FFLs that have been enforcing that for some time. I came into my FL FFL with a 4473 that was filled out electronically (via Adobe) and he rejected it... said I had to fill his form out in his presence. PK90 3,570 Posted November 17, 2016 There are some NJ dealers that were accepting emailed copies and the dealer was running the check prior to their arrival. I have done that before for inclement weather and constant delays. My ATF IOI said that was okay if they were a prior customer with whom I was familiar. Howard 538 Posted November 17, 2016 That is interesting especially since I heard on TV this morning that in NJ police recruits will no longer be categorically ruled out if they use marijuana.

"Used" I believe. I can't imagine any police academy admitting any potential recruit that is "currently using..." Do they not do durg/urine tests before a final decision? robot_hell 72 Posted November 17, 2016 I'm curious why that form isn't a giant laundry list of every federal felony crime. People would probably buy fewer guns if they had to read and check 10 pages. Bonus points if you continually switch up whether "yes" or "no" means disqualification!
