Upfitter21 7 Posted November 17, 2016 Hello, my name's Stephen. I'm a resident in beautiful Camden County home to the nation's most beautiful city, Camden. I'm currently 18 and have been interested in firearms for years now. I'm a vollie FF with my local town and work doing emergency vehicle upfits. Although NJ is my homestate I attend college in the more free state of Florida studying aerospace engineering aka rocket science or something. Sadly no Florida stores will sell to me because I'm from "a Commie state" which is understandable since some idiot might bring back their non-compliant rifle to a Commie state. PK90 3,569 Posted November 17, 2016 Welcome. By the way, you can buy handguns and long guns in Florida if you can exhibit a government issued document that has your address on it.

Out of state residents can buy longguns in Florida, but must stores won't sell to ban state residents. The easiest way I've been told by a few stores is to get my FL fishing license but its apparently a hit or miss getting it nowadays if you don't have permanent residence there. PK90 3,569 Posted November 18, 2016 ... If you have your NJ FPID and the rifle is Jersey compliant you should be able to purchase in Florida. I think he knows that. The issue is that he should be able to buy a non-compliant long gun, or even a handgun, because he is considered a Florida resident when at school. Sent from an undisclosed location via Tapatalk. Upfitter21 7 Posted November 18, 2016 Yeah, I was originally going to buy a 6920 down here but when I was there and asked them they told me "Nope" even though I told them I was a student at the college down the street. Guess I need to go in with that ATF ruling.

Upfitter21 7 Posted November 18, 2016 CONFIRMED You will need a government issued document that has your Florida residence address. Unsure if it was store-policy or not though. I doubt many stores know of this policy. I'll go into one of the stores and chat with them about it one day since most of them are nice dudes and they know I'm apart of my college's firearms club since we come in regularly for ammo for range trips.
