Reference question

I did a search on this but didn't come up with anything. Can I use my girlfriend who I live with as a reference? Obviously not related, no kids together, don't own a home together. Wasn't sure if the fact we lived at the same address made a difference. Thanks for your help in advance.

Does your PD has firearm application packet online or in print ? Does it say References must be of someone who is not living with you ?  I remember some towns asking for "someone not living with you" .

 

Although NJSP form says "other than relatives" it could come down to your PD asking for someone not living with you. 

 

Edit: Remember that the references can be out of town, out of state.

Thanks for the response. Their website refers yout othe State Police site fro the form and that one doesn't specify "not living with you".

If you dont have any other option, put it in and see what happens. If they see same address, they may call you up .. depends on the town. 

Or ask the person who is taking the application.

Why?.....I use Mipa, and either AVB-AMG or ArthurKill.....
