air rifkes with silencers

Recommended Posts

I bet DSG is unaware. I was in a LGS and he had just been audited by the NJSP. He had a couple Gammo Whisper air rifles and they told him that he couldn't sell them in NJ.

While you won't find a specific reference in the statutes, since pellet/BB guns are considered firearms and there is a statute dealing with NFA items (suppressors) one would say that, at face value, the NJSP were right.

The dealer had a heck of a time getting Gammo (or his distributor) to believe him and take them back.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

You have to read the description on the mfg. website and know

the spec. of the rifle in question.

Most of the Air rifles say Brake that reduces noise - that would be

the killer right there. If it says anything about having a devise that

reduces noise - Jersey won't allow it.............

Definitely illegal to own as a civilian. Ffls can have whatever they want in the store

We're not allowed to deal in sound suppressors in NJ regardless of whether or not we paid the SOT to deal in NFA items. They are banned outright in NJ (unlike machine guns).
