Why do personality and "badassery" trump strength and reliability?

Here are two photos where the KeyMod lug pulled through the narrow portion of the slot.

Looks don't matter when there are functional drawbacks that degrade reliability. Besides, KeyMod looks like shelving brackets:

I am just going to ask to ask.. because I have seen several "keymod failure" pics..  but I have yet to see a Noveske keymod hand guard pictured.. its always something else.. there is no doubt in my mind that it is possible that mlok is more secure.. but of all these failures.. is anyone finding any Noveske products in the mix?

I have used my NSR for some time.. and I am pretty rough with stuff.. no failures..

I would blame the attachment and handguard thickness for the failures.

In regards to the the above Keymod pictures, I can't put blame when I have no idea who did the installation...

If I have a failure with my Keymod stuff, then I can say that it is a design problem, as I know I torqued everything to the correct specifications. Many people that toss stuff on their weapons DO NOT care how tight it is attached, and a lot feel the tighter, the better. Random pictures, without any background, really can't show of an issue. That is like complaining your rotors are trashed because you tightened the lug nuts so much that they deformed the rotor... not the rotors being inferior, but an excessive load being placed on it (lug nuts for all vehicles have torque specifications).

All of the BCM keymod stuff I have has so far been fine. I'm not switching up no time soon.

And in all honesty, there is no reason to.
