Please be aware the x39 platform and ARs have problems playing nicely in the same sandbox.  The x39 cartridge due to its taper causes feed issues in magazines.  This is the reason for the 'bent banana' nature of the magazines.  Some manufacturers have developed a refined receiver similar to AR platform to help with the feed issue.  There are some barrel manufactures that have also changed the design of the M4 feed ramps in barrels to help with feeding.  I cannot say if your config will work or be problematic.  I know bolts take a beating because of the size of the case head fitment.  Take time to review and consider all possibilities.  I have a x39 Colt rifle length upper from the 80s that does seem to function OK with the supplied 9 round Colt magazines.

I built one and had some light primer strikes and failures to fire, especially with Golden Tiger steel ammo.

I wound up having to use a heavier hammer spring which then made the trigger pull horrible. I then put

a nice trigger in it and all is well.

If you plan on using brass commercial ammo you should be fine but the cheap steel military surplus

stuff may require the mods I mentioned.

This is your 1st AR? I have to ask then, why the 7.62x39 platform? Unless you also happen to have an AK or SKS,  The 300 blk out would give you more flexibility, less headaches and the same size hole. . Just sayin...walk before you run. But hey...ya gotta start someplace I guess.

Thank you T Bill for your advice, this build is gonna be something that i take awhile to research and look into for months as i like to get the best bang for buck and to make sure everything will work right the first time. :-)
