Cherry Ridge Range Question

Recommended Posts

Hey Y'all! I am interested in signing up with cherry ridge range to shoot. I would like to know is it possible for me to go before i pay and just look at the range? shotgun,100 yard, pistol etc before paying for the year? I wanna see how good it is myself you know? I emailed them with the email addy i got from ANJRPC site. But its been weeks and no email. I dont wanna drive up there and find they have like a gated entance and need a code or something.

So heres my question(s)

1.Is it possible for me to go there and just look at the ranges i wont have any firearms just myself and my truck.

2.For the Cherry Ridge goers What do you think about the range, ppl there, Range masters.

Next sunday is the membership meeting and i wann go before then just to get a look out and then if i like it i will go and sign up for the year. I found that its best to go (when i get my membership) during the week and not weekends less crowded, which is great for me cuz i am disabled and cant work :-)

Thanks for taking time out to read my post :-) *High Five*

I haven't joined yet, but went up there myself to look around. As old school said, I just drove up announced my self, they open the gate and was free to look around all the area's and speak to the RO and some of the patrons. Nice place, will probably sign up in the spring, like the idea of being able to shoot outdoors.

Its a great place with lots of different ranges to shoot. I go up there at least twice a week when the weather is nice and once a week when its not. They have some safety rules of range etiquette but its for everybody's safety and they are easy to follow. The range officers are cool with you once they get to know you are a safe and conscientious shooter. Pretty fair.

Same here, my father and I joined last weekend. We spent the rest of the morning at the plinker range ringing steel with 22. Another new member even let me try out his rifle when I asked how he liked it!

After years of shooting indoors at BulletHole, it is just GREAT to get outside. When I showed my wife a photo of the 200yd range, all she said was "And this is New Jersey?! Cool".

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
