Moto102 7 Posted January 31, 2017 Hey all, I have learned that I will be inheriting a decent sized collection of firearms from a family member. The problem is that they are out of state and will need FFL help. I'm hoping maybe a member has a home FFL and would be willing to work with me on the transfers. I'm located in Morris county. PM if you have any interest and we can talk more about the details. Thanks
PK90 3,569 Posted January 31, 2017 If they were directly left to you in a Will or you are the sole heir, then there is no need for a dealer to get involved. Sent from an undisclosed location
capt14k 2,051 Posted January 31, 2017 What PK90 said if left directly to you nothing you need to do. Pick them up and bring them home. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Purple Patrick 638 Posted January 31, 2017 You could probably ship them to yourself but if it's more then a couple it might be worth it to drive this signature exceeds the 15 character capacity count
Moto102 7 Posted January 31, 2017 I wish it was that easy. They were my Fathers. They were willed to my mother. She wants to give them to me.
302w 83 Posted January 31, 2017 I wish it was that easy. They were my Fathers. They were willed to my mother. She wants to give them to me.In that case yes you will need an FFL. What state? If no HGs it may be worth driving there if all firearms are NJ legal. You can buy from out of state FFLs
Moto102 7 Posted January 31, 2017 All HGs... They are in Maine
Rob0115 1,105 Posted January 31, 2017 Make sure you fill out an exemption so you don't have to deal with OGAM.
Moto102 7 Posted January 31, 2017 Yes but I'm looking for an FFL that is willing to help me with the transfers. It's a few more than a couple. Hoping that maybe someone with a home FFL or a shop is willing to help and we can work out a price or trade type situation.

Newtonian 453 Posted January 31, 2017 I wish it was that easy. They were my Fathers. They were willed to my mother. She wants to give them to me. No she doesn't. She's holding onto them, as per your father's wishes, until such a time as you could take possession.
