Clinton WMA Pistol Shooting?

Recommended Posts

Can you? Yes.

Are you allowed to? No

Do I see 9mm, 45ACP etc brass on the ground at Stafford Forge? Yes. I also see 556, 308 and 762x54r.

If you are caught by Fish and Game, I think they can take away your hunting license.

Black River WMA has a handgun range for the CO's to practice. Not open to the public.

I see officers shooting at Clinton pretty frequently. I also see a lot of people doing stupid crap there but I don't say anything to anyone. Only reason I know they are leo is because someone will always ask

this signature exceeds the 15 character capacity count

They'll probably issue a summons, but that would count against your hunting, and fishing privileges. 2 summons within 5 years and they suspend your fishing and hunting privileges for a couple years. Been there done that... not fun.

Colliers Mills has a CO Range too.  They use it for Hunter Ed a few times a year to teach live-fire of scatterguns and muzzleloaders.

Black River does the same, for hunter ed. Just black powder and .22. Scatter guns they do on the clay range next to the handgun pit.
