voyager9 3,434 Posted March 12, 2017 According to some we are on the border of 6-10 and 10-18 others say firmly in the 8" range. All I know is my tulips are fuuuuucked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

voyager9 3,434 Posted March 13, 2017 It's turned into a KABOOM! I feel like that site constantly over-estimates or over-hypes the snow totals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

voyager9 3,434 Posted March 13, 2017 Then take it from the NWS Case in point. NSW has me in the 8-12" and WeatherNJ is 10-18" Pretty big difference I understand this is t an exact science and I enjoy the write up and details behind their forecast. But they do tend to aim high. Malsua 1,422 Posted March 13, 2017 They are all within the margin of error. Shrug. The mixing line is what will make all the difference.
Malsua 1,422 Posted March 13, 2017 My driveway is at 1250 feet and am typically colder by 5 or so degrees than even 600 feet elevation. When I see storm totals, I'm almost always at the top of the list. Friday we got a solid 6 inches of snow, no rain. If you are at a low elevation or near a big body of water, expect to be on the lower end of the scale.

I was just letting others know my experience with that site in the past. A minor nit perhaps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JackDaWack 2,895 Posted March 13, 2017 Over the weekend we had a house warming for a friend to go to, so we stopped and grabbed a bottle of wine for a gift....I may have grabbed a large bottle of Dr. McGillicuddy to keep me warm tomorrow. I have to make sure I don't get too smashed to run the snow blower. Even worse, I'm not really a drinker but if I'm snowed in at home....

DaveR 42 Posted March 13, 2017 I may have grabbed a large bottle of Dr. McGillicuddy to keep me warm tomorrow Heh, the only booze with a Last Will & Testament on it. I'm set. Fridge stocked. Out of office already on. No snow blower though, I refuse to get one because it will be of no use to me when I move. With how cold it is going to be I'm hoping on a fluffy light snow.
