Muzzle Device legality

So all A2 flash hiders are illegal?

Incorrect.

No flash hider is illegal in and of itself.

You just can't put a device that is sold as a flash hider on a semi auto rifle that already has 2 "evil" features. On an AR type rifle, the detachable magazine and pistol grip are the existing "evil" features. So that means you can't have a collapsing stock, bayonet lug, grenade launcher, or flash hider.

Correct. I assumed it would be on a AR.

Yes... if they are considered flash hiders or stated to reduce / suppress flash.

Incorrect.

For example, you can put an A2 flash hider on a Mini 14, a Remington 700, an M1 Garand, a Mossberg MVP, or an SKS.

ETA: Gotcha steve. Posting simultaneously.

Isn't this thread inside the "AR Discussion" forum?

It i, which is why i assumed it was going to be installed on an AR.

On which you can install a featureless grip and keep the flash hider.

Hardly a standard AR configuration as this point.

Maybe soon :(
