Purple Patrick 638 Posted March 17, 2017 Screw you people who can't drive and need to slam into each other.... 1 hour delay at the bridge and I've already been here an hour and it's still looking like another hour. This drive takes me 35 minutes without an asshat wrecking and making it a 2.5 hour commute. Ugh seriously if I ever hit the lottery I'm buying a helicopter and just floating over route 78 and throwing pennies at anyone on their phone or driving like an a hole. At least my clutch leg is getting a workout. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

fishnut 2,358 Posted March 17, 2017 I had a rough commute this morning too. It took me 15 mins instead of 13 because I had a red light at the only traffic light I have to go through.
Purple Patrick 638 Posted March 17, 2017 Wait till Friday evening commute in the summer...Won't affect me. I take 2 roads, 78 to 440. The issue is the toll before the bridge. It goes from like 6 lanes to 10 tolls to 4 lanes that then merge again with another 2. It's a cluster f. Takes me 40 minutes everyday to go 1 mile Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

EWR class B goes all the way down to the ground there.

Luke_WO 11 Posted March 17, 2017 Leaving for work @ 5 AM and driving home around 2:30 PM solves my traffic problem. Of course, I only commute 10 miles each way, but it's nice to know that I won't run into any issues. From time to time when I have to visit jobsites in NYC, or even in Hudson County, if I'm not at the bridge/tunnel before 6:30, I don't even bother, and put it off til lunchtime. blksheep 466 Posted March 18, 2017 I refuse to sacrifice my homelife for a job. I have 4 Stop signs on backroads to get to work. My wife drove to Edison for 2 years up the Turnpike, 50 miles each way. Too much wear and tear on everything. Now we both drive 10 minutes to work and make the same $$$.

Have areal good friend who used to work in Manhattan and commute from Ocean County EVERYDAY and sometime on Saturday! He did it for more than 20 yrs until he had a stroke. We used to tell him he was NUTS, used to drive to Aberdeen, then train, then subway. He had to leave at 5 in the morning and walking in at about 9 in the evening. Yeah he made about a hundred grand a yr. or a little more. But it cost in 1/4 or more of that to travel. Could of worked two pizza joints for $10.00 an hour locally and made more. But he was a NY worker. Oh and his wife also had to pay taxes in NJ and NY too. What a waste.
jackandjill 683 Posted March 18, 2017 Screw you people who can't drive and need to slam into each other.... ..... Got a taste of this y'day evening. Not much traffic on Rt 17, I am minding my own business, and this NEW car, just out of dealership lot drives up on the right side, then suddenly swerve into my car from right side. Without thought, I swerve into my left lane. Waiting me after that lane is a nice concrete highway divider. Thank God, there was no car on the left lane. When I and couple of cars behind her beep, she had this B*TCH look on her face. I wonder why people like her need a car.
MartyZ 692 Posted March 18, 2017 I drive from Manalapan to Paramus up and down route 9 and the GSP every day, I know traffic well, and I know about all the idiots who can't drive. Drove by that 4 car accident on the GSP north bound, just at around exit 129 at around 6:50am yesterday. Took me 2 hours to get to work instead of the usual hour and 15 minutes. The brew guy 22 Posted March 24, 2017 It's pretty funny to me that someone from Warren is batching about traffic. My morning commute involves the 5 lights along Mountain Blvd. At 6-6:15 I'll usually get at least 2 or 3 of emails red, usually without another car in sight. Home is worse. Warren and Watchung actually have school busses that stop at each and every house. Seriously, what other town does thaThat? Three kids live in 3 consecutive houses ant the busses stop at each house. That's how you teach kids about instant gratification, can't have Jr walk 40 yards now can we. That's top of the line socialism.

Sit in that everyday and get back to me. Yes the school bus stops are ridiculous but the town doesn't want to put sidewalks in. I don't have kids but I wouldn't want them walking up and down the street while you are admittedly playing on your phone and driving(like everyone else) Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
The brew guy 22 Posted March 25, 2017 LOL, there's a couple corporate parks, the first one that came to mind is in Watchung and I do sit in that crap every day. I used to enjoy driving...
