  1. I have a JSE Wilson 16" Wylde Bull and am happy with it. Get decent groups with cheap plinking ammo too.
  2. So if you were to build a 9mm AR, couldn't you do a pistol and make it short like a Storm?
  3. That was from a few months ago. Was shooting them at 100yrds for something do. I was just using that one for size reference.
  4. Went out to South Jersey Shooting Club Sun and had a really good day working on my shooting. I was using American Eagle Tac .223 in my custom Spikes AR. Top the night off with some cleaning by the fire and a cold beverage.
  5. My barrel is a Wilson Arms 16" SS Bull Barrel that I picked up for $190. I plan on running that thing into the ground as that's what my AR was built for, to shoot. I'll be sure to let everyone knows how it holds up and if how long it takes steel to actually do some damage. Guess it helped that I built a top end gun for $1000 buy building it myself from the ground up. Also all my internals are nickel boron coated, so we'll see how they hold up too. To me it's like buying a race car or dirt bike and racing it. Shit's gonna break and get worn out.
  6. My Spikes with the .223 wylde loves anything I put in it and shoots it pretty dam good. For the price of Tula for plinking, it's worth changing the extractor if it breaks.. It's also dirty, but I do enjoy sitting with a cold drink cleaning my firearms too. Here's some Tula at 100yds,
  7. A friend took some great shots of me shooting my custom built Spike's AR last evening. All I could see was huge fireball threw my optics after each shot once the sun started going down.
  8. Anyone have any experience with Black Hills Remanufactured Ammunition 223 Remington 77 Grain Sierra MatchKing Hollow Point Boat Tail? Midway has a sale of $35 for box of 50,
  9. I picked mine up from midway. Sure they're pretty much the same price anywhere. If you have a standard trigger they suggest a polishing, which is always a good idea anyway.
  10. I put the JP yellow spring set in with my Spikes battle trigger. I'm not sure of the exact pull, but def. feels like it was cut in half. I shot some Herters, American eagle tactical, Tula and Hornady polymer tip with now problems. What a great 3min $10 mod.
  11. The glass is a Burris AR 332, which is mine. I just put it on there to see how it looked. My dad has something he bought coming in for it.
  12. Aero upper and lower Spikes battle trigger Spikes Punisher dust cover Dpms lpk Ergo grip Spikes nickel boron bcg BCM mod 3 charging handle Mako pinned stock YHM rifle free float DPMS 20" fluted .223 bull barrel DPMS gas block
  13. Finally got the last of the parts to finish my dad's AR build. Going to take it out tomorrow to SJSC for a test run. Optics and bipod are mine, just threw them on to see how it would look. Used an Aero Precision upper and lower, wasn't that excited about the fit with taps for the takedown pins, but sure it'll loosen up with some use.
  14. Exactly... I was actually just checking with a piece of .223 brass to see if the rifle chambered smoothly and easily. Now that it's all set, I can do a full cleaning and lube. Taking her out to SGSC tomorrow after work for some test firing.
  15. Ran a boresnake threw it a few time and got a piece of flake out of it. Looks like some of the coating off the ar wrench I bought from amazon. It had come in all chipped and bubbled from rust. She seats fine now.
