  1. Im in jackson too, absolutely hate the nonsense the chief here drags your paperwork through to slow the permit process. I had a two year time span between when I applied for a new set of pistol permits and they sent me to get refingerprinted... I literally said to the woman at the clerk window you realize our finger print never changes there is no point in this but to waste my time and discourage others from applying for permits on a regular basis. Her response was its the rules here you do it or you don't get your permits.
  2. I have the taurus raging judge magnum which is the raging bull but can shoot .410 aswell the gun cost me about $750+ tax and it shoots like a dream handles the .454 very well and is very tolerable.
  3. I second divulging that shop information so they do not potentially take advantage of other forum members, he was lying about the legality of the rifle so he could justify charging double the market price. I only protect the information of a business I trust and has good business ethics. That 1200 dollar price tag was what wasr's were fetching right after the potential "assault" rifle ban and people were paying anything to secure potentially ban prone guns. Market price for a basic wasr 10 obviously depending on condition is $400-700.
  4. Its a town nonsense requirement. My local pd makes you get reprinted every 3 years here in Jackson.
  5. Yeah that's the elite and not the limited because it doesn't have the mag well. I have the limited myself and I love the gun excellent for comp shooting and just running around shooting targets. The one thing I did to mine to help with racking the slide is I put grip tape on the top of the slide because the slide is very low its based off the cz75 design.
  6. I own it in .45 I love the gun, being that it is a cz clone with some cuts to make it look like a desert eagle. There is slightly less real estate to rack the slide but its manageable and I enjoy the gun over all. I feel for the price the gun is worth it and it is built very well and accurate.
  7. i have shot both .454 casull and .500 S&W and the longer barrelled .500 feels slightly more powerful but similar to my Taurus raging judge magnum which shoots the ,454 casull. That being a shorter barrel I cant say it will be comfortable lol.
  8. Thats a good deal , if I didn't have like 25 flashlights I would probably buy it, I have the second one Dble posted the ultrafire batteries suck but the flashlights pretty awesome. However the 1000 lumen claim is definitely bogus because my LED maglite is slightly out powered by the larger ultrafire and the maglite is around 350 lumens so I would say the lights closer to 500 lumens.
  9. JR a few weeks back had some great prices on the sancho panza it was internet prices without the shipping. I totally forgot to mention NUB in my posting they are pretty much the cigar I light up when I walk into JR. I bought a box of the Cameroon II's tubo's there is 12 to a box, I got it for i think 75 dollars couldn't really beat the deal. Cain tobacco which makes nub has pretty solid cigars across their whole line.
  10. In winter I will have maybe one or two a month, during spring summer its a few a week. Drew estate which makes the acid line is nice, kuba kuba is the foundation of that companies cigars. One of their more exotic cigars is called the ambrosia van reef a very tasty cigar when it comes to flavored cigars. I love the flavors of drew estate in general, their roll quality in recent years though has come under question for me. I think its boiled down to their huge growth quickly in industry they need alot of rollers and let up on the quality to meet demand. I currently find myself more into classic style cigars with my occasional throw back to acid's flavored cigars here and there.Rocky patel edge cigars are very nice for the price 5-6 dollars and I recently discovered those. Aging room is another, in cigar aficionado they were ranked number 2 for 2013 I tried one out and can definitely see why it got the rank it did. It has a nice spice to them and smooth smoke they run about 8 dollars. A go to brand that's never let me down has always been ashton, quality is always top notch never had bad smoke but they carry a bit of a premium price almost all cigars are over 9 dollars even on their lower lines. Another cigar company I finally tried just a few weeks ago although they have been around for a long time is davidoff, I go to JR Cigar up in whippany nj they usually have the best price possible on any cigar they carry. They recently have brought in the davidoff line the reason they haven't till now is I think davidoff requires a seller to carry the whole line and certain amount of inventory so they had to prep the humidor for that. Regardless the cigars are not cheap the cheapest one I saw was around 15 dollars and they go well over 50 dollars per cigar. That all being said the one I had was well worth its money never had a cigar quite like it. If you never had a cigar or are new to cigars I would not spend the money on one yet. The difference between what you expect from the average cigar and what davidoff offers might not be present for someone new to smoking and you might feel your money was not well spent. For anyone new to cigars my suggested first cigar is romeo y julieta vintage number 3, a great classic cigar, nice quality tobacco and is around 5-6 dollars. A tip I give to anyone though when looking for a cigar is always check to see if its made in a torpedo size, if its pyramid or perfecto thats even better. Torpedo is most common of those sizes however. The reason being is the amount of skill a roller is required to have to make that style is higher. Getting that style increases your odds of getting a better constructed cigar, a bonus is they are alot easier to cut properly. Thanks for reading my novel lol sorry, I love cigars its on par with my love for firearms.
  11. Mavrick 88 its a off brand of mossberg I own one and I own its mossberg "brother" cant really tell any difference in fit or finish difference is maverick is assembled in mexico i believe.
  12. Hi Joe, I met you once at TJ's when you were picking up ammo, definitely an awesome guy welcome to the forum.
  13. Damn, I had a few interactions with Tiny he sold me one of my hand guns and I got to witness him forcing a lady to buy a sig P226 that she dropped on the floor when looking at it from the case. He was one of those guys that had a good heart but was hardened by life I believe he was a marine as well, if you were a reasonable person and not annoying he got along with you. RIP Tiny.
