  1. Besides being the real deal, He is also a Jersey boy. Born and raised in New Brunswick.
  2. Substitute marriage (regardless of orientation) permit for carry permit and you have your answer.
  3. The only change I made to my 5" PPQ is adding a Hi Viz green fiber optic. I find it makes me shoot a little high compared to the standard front sight. I think I am going to investigate replacing it with a Dawson sight. I am very curious about the spring Howard and Paul have. If you don't mind sharing, where did you gentlemen find it?
  4. Just as an FYI, you can purchase long guns or handguns at a Cabela's store location to be shipped to a local NJ FFL for transfer as long as the standard capacity is no more than 15 rounds. They will not sell NJ citizens any handgun that has a 16 or more round magazine.
  5. Not that I want to influence your decision but I just picked up my PPQ 5" tonight. The ergos and trigger are the best I have felt. Even better than my XDM 5,25 or the several VP9s I have fondled and shot.
  6. Folks The NRA (I am a member) does not want to go mainstream. They do want to appeal to everyone. They know that playing the underdog and seemingly always fighting uphill evokes a much more emotional chord than stating facts or debunking liberal lies in the media. Does anyone really believe there are still only 5 million members? They need the members to feel as if they are under siege. it is much easier to collect donations that way. The reality is the NRA is more interested in keeping the cash flow rolling in than defending our rights. What have they done for New Jersey over the past 50 years?
  7. Not to get technical, but this case is in federal court. The judge is not a New Jersey appointee. That being said, I have no doubt he colluded with our corrupt state government.
  8. +1 The SR45 is very soft shooting. I use mine for bowling pin matches and find getting back on target quickly is very easy with this pistol. It has a very low recoil impulse.
  9. Paul I am not interested in getting into a pissing match with you. I like you and have used you as a vendor multiple times. I was expressing my opinion just like you are, but thanks for telling me what to do. I do agree with you that this troll is no more a cop than I am the king of Siam. He is not being honest, therefore his input is neither valid or interesting to me. That is why I do not engage him and have him on ignore.
  10. I agree 100%. You get no further arguing with this troll than you would a cranberry muffin (And, yes I am a little hungry right now) stop engaging at it will fade away.
  11. Unfortunately the answer to your question is there is no guaranteed place to find an affordable conversion kit for the EAA Witness. I bought a .40 several years ago and immediately purchased a.45 kit directly from EAA for $225.00. Last year I decided I wanted the 9mm kit as well. They had raised the price to almost $500.00. In free America, it would be cheaper to just purchase another complete Witness for $250.00. But in the PRNJ, we have to go through the entire pistol permit process. I searched through forums, eBay, and Amazon with no luck. My best guess is that EAA is selling so many or the complete guns through distributors like Bud's and Sportsmen's guide that they don't want to go through the trouble of selling them separately. They have marked up the kits so high that only diehards and desperate individuals are willing to buy them. Wish I had a better answer for you. Best wishes in you search.
  12. Thanks to our keyboard "patriots". I normally don't comment on the political issues on the board and I have never called out other members for being ridiculous but enough is enough. In my humble opinion, The SAPPA group has done more to attempt restoring our 2nd amendment rights than any other group or individuals in this state. That is not a knock on any one. I just think their strategy is extremely well thought out and amazing well researched. Time will tell whether their efforts are successful. They even are trying to craft (as in initial draft) legislation that will protect the vast majority of US citizens from government overreach. When they shared it with us on this forum, I could not believe how some of you reacted. Remember, this is an initial go around. All of are rights are not going to be restored or protected in one shot. It has taken the liberal progressives a century to get this country to the sad state we are in. It is going to take multiple efforts and events to move the needle back to where it belongs. That is if it can be. A Wiseman once said "you cannot eat the elephant in one bite". I think that the SAPPA group is taking some big bites. Lets support them in a positive manner. Not calling them names or insulting them. I for one am greatly appreciative of their efforts and all others that are trying to do the right thing. Dwight and Nick - although we have never met, thank you and keep up the great work. Please forgive some of our overzealous brethren and continue to post your updates on the forum. I, for one greatly looked forward to them in the past God bless America
