  1. Heritage Guild in Easton has tactical drills Thursday nights. I have never been able to make them because of my work schedule, but I have seen their range. It is more than just bench shooting.
  2. Welcome to the forum. While I run into few people who aren't interested when I talk about shooting it will take a lot of work to knock the establishment out of Trenton.
  3. Thanks for the info. I am not married to any single store, though good attitude and service go a long way to entice me to frequent a store. So far I have found that at a few places (Howell Gun Works, Middlebrook Firearms) and not at others. YMMF and I have not been to many stores in NJ. Yet :-) -Kurt
  4. NIC check was $15. Transfer fee was $45. With tax both came to $64.20, as Sota reported. There may be cheaper places but Middlebrook is close and they are easy to deal with. That offsets any difference in price, at least to me. And if they discount for frequent buyers, well, that is the nature of business.
  5. just dealt with Art and team at Middlebrook on a transfer for a gun I purchased from Bud's. Great people (Middlebrook) to deal with, very friendly. And only a few miles from my house. I definitely recommend them. Art told me he is in the business for long haul and wants to grow it. -Kurt
  6. 90% of my range ammo is Freedom Ammunition remanufactured and I have never had a problem. As others have said it is usually cheaper compared to other American manufacturers and if you can bide your time wait for a periodic flat rate or free shipping promo. I have also bought from Target USA and SGammo with no problems. -Kurt
  7. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID): P2P - existing FID 2. Police Department where you applied: Piscataway PD 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD: Detective Lilovaus (not sure on spelling) 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit: 77 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form): Normal 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.): Getting my initial FID in the spring took about 20 days less. PD very friendly and accomodating towards gun owners.
