    I've seen plenty of magazines that held more than 15. Did I say anything? Nope I've also seen collapsing stocks, semi auto shotguns with extended tubes, pistol grip semi auto shotguns and everything else that people own freely in other states. Do i say anything? Nope Maybe it's the Bayonne mindset that I have, but I don't rat. Remember what Jimmy said in Goodfellas, you learned the two most important things in life. Always keep your mouth shut and don't rat on your friends.

    I know it's not much, but I always try to bring someone new to the range that has never fired a handgun or has been afraid. At least 1-2 a month sometimes more. I show them it's not something to fear but to respect, it's not a evil weapon but a tool. It doesn't hurt anyone by itself. If enough people learn this and maybe enjoy going to a range, and are educated that they might NOT be able to enjoy this hobby because of the Dems they might vote REP. Already had a number of people apply for a FID card. We might not change anything this year but maybe in years to come it might change the mentality.

    I have seen 2A groups come here and some members seem to do their best to drive them away with negative attitude towards anything the pro 2A folks are trying to do.

    I work with the surgery kits for spinal surgeries for a top medical device company. Meaning if ur having back surgery, ur most likely using our products. We handle all ur implants, rods, screws, drill bits, etc.

    Abstemious(ly). Looked it up yea I forgot to say shortest, common use and all that, but bravo. Actually if you follow that sort of thing, the "word of the year" is... Absquatulate, which means basically leaving a party without saying good bye, specially to the host, but generally as well. Aren't words fun? To take another stab at the proverbial dead horse... everything you say is reasonable, my gripe is that while we discuss how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, metaphorically of course, we could be trying to convince our cohort that maintaining a coherent voting block is much more productive. The subtle difference between a collapsing vs adjustable stock is ridiculous in the extreme. Imagine if that thought power was focused on doing a quick survey of the political campaigns in the entire state every election cycle and making a list. Then putting that list on here basically saying: If you are a gun owner and you live in so and so district you'd be stupid to consider not voting for this guy or gal: That could be productive. We focus on governor and not where we can actually make a difference. A thousand votes in a district has a huge influence. It won't change things overnight, but the gradual lowering of the flame under the pot with the frog can be accomplished. It's sad that for us, the abused and oppressed, keeping these ridiculous laws as they are would be considered a win. But since these vague and contridictory laws and regs keep us at each other's necks, they win. Again. We can learn from our enemies and beat them at their own game. We just need a cat herder.

    Lots to talk about lol but I"ll stick to one issue. If you work outside use sunscreen protection! I was mostly outside for 35 yrs and contrary to youthful exuberence we are not invincible. I thought I was but have recently, past 5 yrs or so, been routinely cut up, sliced,burned, frozen.....currently have a dozen stitches in my neck, again...melanoma, basil/ squamus cell, AK, have and had all. All on neck and face. Fortunatly I never worked with my shirt off so not by design I'm good there. Keep some sunscreen in your truck, car even your toolbox lol, and use it. It can take many yrs for skin cancer to develop, that peeling burn you got last July can come back to haunt you 10-30 yrs later. Next, blood pressure. Watch and maintain, get meds if needed, they changed my life no more chronic headaches. Thats all for today.

    Largest selections near me (northern ocean county) are probably Howell Gun Works and Gargen State Shooting Center. The service I've gotten at HGW has been great...my first pistol was from HGW. GSSC has been good as well, but I've not bought a firearm from them yet. Monmouth Arms has been my go-to for my last few additions. Steve doesn't have the inventory of HGW or GSSC, but the prices tend to be a little better. He tends to keep his inventory updated on his website, so I'd recommend checking that or shooting him an email if you're looking for something specific. I wasn't impressed with the service when I was there last, but Cheyenne Mountain also has a very large selection. Maybe it was because I was the only person under 50 and not talking about hunting at the gun counter?

    You keep doing just what you're doing now! If only 10% of NJ's million gun owners (100K) each brought 1-2 Newbies to a range per month, in a years time we'd have brought 1.2 MILLION (at a minimum) complete Noobs to a range to experience our sport, our RIGHT, for themselves! That's doubling our ranks in just a single year. There's POWER in NUMBERS! The North Jersey Eye-Talian with the Podcast on Sunday mornings has a phrase that he lets his friends (like me) "borrow": "EACH ONE, REACH ONE!". You sir, are living proof that there's still hope left in this "Chicken Little" state! Please PM me so I can mail you some of our brochures to hand to your guests to make it easier to introduce them to NJ's Justifiable Need provision and how stupidly unconstitutional it really is!     Sorry Mufasa, I didn't mean to not know my place, but just as a small bit of info; Although I may not have posted as much as you, I have been a member longer, so there! I'm being facetious, of course. I get what you mean and of course I have the ability to ignore these fruitless and redundant threads rehashing how a pinky in a hole can get "the dime" dropped on you at certain locales of moral superiority. Come to think of it, this thread has become what I loathe, sort of. But no matter, I see your point of view, I hope you can see mine... By the way, did you know that the only word in the English language that has all the vowels, in the correct order, is "facetious"? I know what you're thinking, and yes you're right, "facetiously" even includes the 'sometimes y".

    Stay away from bad surgeons not back surgery! My back surgery gave me so much relief I wish I could use had the surgery sooner. But I had one of the best lower back surgeons in the country.

    Sometimes when I visit this forum I run into lots of skepticism about things I tell you I've done that I've been told to do by LEO's. That I've been told to do decades ago from mentors whom I trust. I get challenged, called-out, "beat-up" or told that I'm crazy. Fortunately this happens rarely and only a certain few "regulars" are guilty of the BS. I have extensive experience in quite a few shooting disciplines, and because of this "I got to see HOW THE SAUSAGES ARE MADE". By that I refer to how the club members train, legally transport and most importantly USE their various platforms during competitive league activities. This insight and LOTS of other real-life firearms experience has taught me to realize that there are two basic types of NJ Gun Owner: 1. Folks whom are scared of their own shadow and rush to judge (and even worse--criticize) others for stopping to pick-up or discharge a passenger, stopping to pee or get a cheeseburger or transport hand guns and ammo on a intrastate basis w/o following federal (FOPA) guidelines (unloaded gun and ammo in the same Range Bag IS allowed in NJ), etc. 2. Shooters like Griz, Ray-Ray, myself and LOTS of others that do what needs done and makes the most sense at the time. In other words, "normal people" w/o the "Chicken Little" complex. When I get harassed here, I sometimes consider abandoning this place as a "Lost Cause" full of "Negative Nellie's". It is at those times when I remember a quote from Teddy Roosevelt: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man (or woman-Ed) who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.     I've never seen so many haters and keyboard commandos in one place. I don't begrudge people for their commercial success or ability to obtain a CCW. Or, blame any pro-2A person or group for not having CCW in this state. But, I've seen that behavior here. It must be a NJ thing...

    This. I've witnessed 2 different instances where a prominent NJ RKBA advocates came in and left in disgust at the combination of negativity "You're not doing enough / Your strategies suck" and apathy "Nah, I'm not contributing to that effort, it's a waste of time". This place even recently pissed Anthony Colandro off, and he's no softy from what I can tell. I don't bother trying to drum up support for the orgs I belong to in here.

    I always carry mine because I never know if I will be buying a gun that day. I also carry extra COEs. Any day I buy a new gun is a GOOD day! Logic dictates you should always be prepared to have a GOOD day!

    I've had dogs my whole life. Currently I have 2 mini dachshunds. Luger the red one is 4 to 6 yr old male rescue. Abby the female is a silver dapple Chihuahua Dachshund cross and is 13 yes old.
