I'm not directing this at anyone just sharing my thoughts on an issue brought up. Given 2 choices, Option 1, leaving my wife access to my guns so she could defend herself. Option 2, keeping my guns locked away from her and having her murdered or raped with no means to defend herself because I'm worried about an illegal transfer. I'll go with option 1 everytime. There is such a thing as exigent circumstances that is recognized in the law. You can be allowed to do certain things because an emergency dictates it. That's why a cop can kick down a door without a warrant if someone is screaming help on the other side. That's why the FAA doesn't charge an unlicensed person with flying without a license when they land a plane because the pilot is incapacitated. It's also the reason no prosecutor in their right mind would pursue an illegal transfer case where someone used someone else's gun to legitimately defend themselves. Could you imagine the courtroom? "Mr and Mrs Jones are being charged with illegal transfer of a handgun. Mr Jones was away on a business trip and left Mrs Jones access to one of his handguns. Someone broke into the Jones' residence and threatened to rape then murder Mrs Jones. Mrs Jones shot and killed her assailant. That was permitted by law. BUT THE HANDGUN SHE USED WAS NOT LEGALLY TRANSFERRED TO HER BY HER HUSBAND". Bernhard Goetz was found not guilty of 4 counts attempted murder but got 6 months for illegally carrying a gun. The only reason it went to trial was because the DA brought it to multiple grand juries before he got an indictment. The jury said it was okay you shot those guys but not okay you were carrying a gun. I guess they felt compelled to find him guilty of something.

Sandy was a special situation and in such an extreme situation it would be important to move your guns to a safe location so they do not fall into the wrong hands. ShadowShu's intentions, as stated, obviously fall into the NO, NOT LEGAL catagory. I saw no need to muddy the waters. (No pun on Sandy intended).

Yes - If your primary home became inhabitable (fire, floods , earth quake, about to be looted due to civil unrest, god decided to teach you a lesson etc), dont have any other "residence" or cannot get to it safely, you take your legal firearms and move to a safe place and do what you got to do. If you do everything kosher and end up in legal battle with the state, PM me and I will try my best to raise money for legal defense. No - If your primary home is habitable but you just felt like hanging out at GF house and want to carry your handgun(s) with you. Keep the bank account loaded for your own legal defense. Someone is going to bring up Hurricane Sandy.

Agreed. I put the Apex flat trigger in my 320 as well (before the recall), and it just helps a bit with the leverage on the pull. You can pull closer to the bottom and it gives it s different feel than pulling in the middle of the huge curve the 320 OEM trigger had. Talking about the M&P - well, from all I hear (and i have experienced it as well), the Apex trigger kit for the M&P is a night and day improvement over the stock trigger system. Crisper, lighter, much more smooth and you dont have that annoying segmented trigger

Your coming at this with reason and logic others just repeat the same shit you hear all day in the internet. Yes, Sig effed up. And I also don't like how they are handling it. I also feel bad because I had a friend test out a bunch of 9mm guns and he picked the P320. So this sucks all around. But this should get fixed.

The big difference between how Glock and other manufacturers handled their issues is they acknowledged them and fixed them. Many times the manufacturer discovered the issue and sent out fixes right away. Sig denied them and still is calling it an "upgrade" not a recall. Glock did change a lot of ways guns were made. People thought Stoner was crazy using aluminum in a battle rifle. I've shot Glocks for over 30 years and carried them for over 20. I think the 19 is the best all around 9mm out there. Does that make me a fanboy? I think not. What was I carrying between shooting Glocks and carrying them regularly? S&Ws, Rugers, Walthers, and...OMG...Taurus. Some would say I should be dead already because I even thought of carrying a Taurus for serious social work. I don't think any gun is the end of all ends.

It is funny because I have never paid for a FedEx or UPS Daily Pickup account, and have shipped firearms for 16 years. They do now charge a pickup fee but there are ways around that. [emoji3] It is best to keep your mouth shut, or even lie about what you are shipping. You break no laws, only their policy. I know, I know, "but what if my package is lost or damaged? They won't pay." I have never filed a claim in my shipping career. Never had a need to. I also self-insure. No need to pay extra for every shipment made. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

No reality check needed Buddy If you have been with us from the start you would know we never fooled ourselves for one moment. We knew we had less chance than a snow bunny in a wolf pack. But that did not stop us from trying. Even if we lose this case both Nick and I would do it all over again. Working to save our Second Amendment was not about walking a way with a win. It was purely about doing the right thing. Nick and I never dreamed we would have been able to outlast several groups of high priced attorneys and over see the removal of an incompetent judge. But indeed we did. Our reality is that we tried. We gave it all we had. Left nothing on the table. We have kept this forum informed because we promised to do that. Believe me when I tell you we sometimes got more flack here than from the libs. I haven't had a chance to check your profile so I don't know how old you are. Nick and I operate on the Star Trek mode. You may be too young to know what that is. It is, simply put. No matter the odds if there is one chance in a million to survive, you take it. If we in anyway help to save the second amendment that is all the reality check we need. But thanks for taking the time to comment. Dwight

NJ@AS has worked with us a little. They posted info on their news letter. We here at SAPPA are big supporters of NJ2AS. They have done some great work. As to the group of gun-guys who think this is a long shot and not worth their time, they are correct of course. Their time may be too valuable to taking a chance on righting so many wrongs. But it's been two years and our long shot is still carefully aimed at those who want to destroy our rights. Long shot or not, Nick, Tony, Joe, myself and many others are in it til the bitter end. Countless hours, much money and tons of resources we have already expended. We have no intention of quitting until we have lost or my friends, have won. Dwight
