The CZ was on my short list when looking for an O/U. It's a nice looking gun. Did a lot of research and reading with reviews being 50/50. Some words of wisdom I heard were "buy once, cry once". "You get what you pay for". " And buy what you like as long as it's one of the 3 B's." Ended up getting a Browning Cynergy.

I would avoid. Cop cars are beat to hell. Even low mileage cars. They are ridden hard, often 24 hours a day, bu guys that don't own them. Think about how most communal property is treated. A few guys really take care of their cars, but most guys beat on them. Have your mechanic give it a thorough thrice-over if you are seriously contemplating one.

Yep, I just noticed that in the comments and was coming on to correct myself. Thanks, Krdshrk! And THIS is why NJ sucks!

If you can wait, hold off on trimming the burning bush until early spring. You can do it now but it would be better to wait. You can cut it back pretty far then if you want or Just trim it.

I have done all kinds of things carrying and transporting that were not exactly in keeping with the spirit of NJ law (all happily outside the statute of limitations). I wouldn't chance motorcycle carry in a million years. I'd not only worry about getting arrested, I'd worry about getting shot.

Of course you can tap off the dryer but you shouldnt. If you do you will likey have to increase all the gas pipe. Plus that is likely a 1/2" line. You basically need to run a homerun back to the meter in most likely 1" gas pipe and if you don't have 1" coming out of the house side of the meter you need to increase it to 1" at least until the first tee that goes to the generator and the rest of the house. You may have to run 1 1/4" you have to add up the total pipe distance from meter to generator then go to chart for generator and bbq. Rent, buy, or borrow a hand threaded and cut and thread in place. I can't manage to get the pictures right side up. Thanks so much for the reply. I will contact that smith you wrote about. I even found a place to get parts. Yes all numbers match. I don't want to take any screws out for fear if striping them. Original grips show wear from being handled by a right handed person. Barrel is good.Action is great but won't lock in battery. Double action. Probably will fix it and sell it. The holster rotted away decades ago. My brother had a email from a guy who wrote a book on H &A pistols, and he considered 95 % complete. I think a little less now. Again thanks for the input.

Sounds like the same reason I'd never buy a former rental car. People abuse what they don't own themselves.

thats exactly what i did. was fortunate to already have a capped 3/4" T from an abandoned hot water heater that made it easy. I connected a shutoff there and allowed me to take my time running the line outside thru base ment/crawlspace-pia lol. Used stock off the shelf black pipe from home depot-cheap. i put a q/d on a brass coupling on the end where it is exposed to the weather but still covered it with a improvised grey plastic electric box. i put on a pressure gauge w a schraeder valve to pump in air for the pressure test then fitted the q/d. easy and inexpensive. shit. the 10' 3/4 flex ng hose with the fittings was the most expensive piece after the gen! In fact when I went for the permit app no one had ever tried(legally) to hook up a portable gen like this and they had to invent some pprwrk, including a waiver that I would only operate it at least 10' (thus the hose) from the house/combustables.

Yes you could. So your meter is in the basement? If so you cut existing pipe at meter, increase pipe out of meter to appropriate size, install say 1 1/4" x 3/4" tee (assuming existing is 3/4") tie existing back into new tee, continue 1 1/4" line to generator. Labor is more but material is less. Assuming unfinished basement and hanging pipe at bottom of joists it could still be done for $1,000. If finished basement or drilling joists it would be more. Alright who deleted the best and most deserved statement I've seen yet? Unless bhunted asked for it to be removed Mod really should put it back. I would have screen shot it if I thought the censors were going to remove it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Maria's track seems very similar to Irene's track in 2011.. Irene was only a cat 1 when passing Puerto Rico. Weather channel said they can not rule out an east coast land fall at this point in time. Something to think about..

Some towns have ordinances on the books banning the use of brake retarders. They make a lot of noise hence the laws against use in certain areas. See if your town has an ordinance against them or engine braking which is also very loud. If your town does and you get nowhere by contacting the trucks owners I'm sure the local police would welcome an opportunity to sit on your property and write what I'm sure will be very expensive tickets.

Your on the other side of the Raritan I believe. If so I don't venture into North Jersey, but if trench was dug we would provide and install pipe for around $1,000. Material is expensive because of the elbows they run $100 each. Hope that helps with your estimate search. Glad I'm not the only one who finds him senseless and annoying. Just add to block list. I have the CZ Teal O/U in 12ga. I've put several hundred rounds through mine. I'm happy with the gun but it's a good $600 gun, not a $2,000 gun. The only complaint I have is the trigger reset is longer than I would like. I have had several occasions where I've pulled the trigger for a rapid second shot and got nothing. I hadn't let the trigger come forward far enough to reset for the second shot. I also made two very minor alterations to mine. I drilled and tapped the rib for a mid bead and stamped a "T" and "B" next to the barrel selector since I can never remember if left is top or left is bottom. That said, for the price, I would not hesitate to buy one again.

Yeah the Stoeger M3K is great for 3Gun - like the Beretta 1301 and Mossberg 930 but those are the semi autos... we're talking about O/U's

I confess, I'd not heard of Stanislav Petrov before today. And he actually died May 19, though word was late in getting to the Western press. His story was told in the 2014 documentary film The Man Who Saved the World On September 26, 1983, Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Petrov was working his shift, overseeing the staff at a missile detection center near Moscow, when the launch detect system sounded the alarm that five Minuteman ICBMs had been launched from the Western US, and were inbound to the Soviet Union. It seemed almost plausible; weeks before, the Soviet Union had shot down a Korean airliner, and tensions were running high. The satellite-based launch detection system assigned it's highest level of confidence that the launch had occurred. Lieutenant Colonel Petrov's job, at this point, was to confirm to his superiors that missiles were inbound, and recommend a full retaliatory nuclear strike. But he didn't. After several agonizing minutes, he decided the data was likely wrong. It was only a hunch, but he successfully argued it up the chain of command, with the recommendation that the Soviets NOT launch a counterstrike. Being right effectively ended his career, but the rest of us can be glad that he had the intelligence to make the right call, and the courage to stand behind it. Vechnaya pamyat, Stanislav.

I can tell you Chatham is friendly based on recent experience. You'll have to make an appointment to see the Detective who handles firearms, but once the appointment is done they move (relatively) quickly.

So this thread is a few months old but I ended up buying a used 1987 27-3 with a 8 3/8" barrel. I wasn't looking for anything longer than a 6" barrel but I couldn't pass up the price.
