Story should hit the newsstands in this Sunday's paper. Gave the reporter a 50 minute interview this afternoon on all sorts of EFF'd-Up NJ gun laws, justifiable need & how being KIDNAPPED TWICE by the same Biker Gang wasn't justifiable ENOUGH, Dustin Friedlander (Short Hills Mall), Carol Bowne DV homicide & how she'd be lookin' at 3.5-7 if she had a loaded gun with her in the SUV when her Ex stabbed her, Shaneen Allen arrest w/ permitted hand gun over the boarder, PTI, mandatory minimums, and how even cops have to get a P2P for their off duty gun(s)! Enough STUPID to fill an entire story by itself. I hope I'm treated fairly, as I was assured I would be. I also hope I spoke up well for all of us here on the forum that want to see real changes for the better when it comes to NJ gun laws! Rosey

Rosey, I'm sure you handled yourself like a true gentleman. And I'm pretty sure you will be made to look crazy and incoherent. Two things EVERYONE here knows you are not. I'll be waiting to read this article.

Thanks to everyone for your kudos. I went in with reservations & both eyes OPEN, and was assured by the reporter that she'd write it fairly, so we'll see what her editor does between now & when the presses roll. To say she was enlightened would be an understatement to say the least. Permit waiting periods, mental health checks, comparisons to gun laws in free amerikka, NICS check to get the P2P & then a second NICS on the day of, NICS & P2P's for cops that carry 24/7/365 (WOW, that's dumb, I didn't know THAT), I even called a NJ CCW a "Unicorn in a hay stack", citing between 1,300-1,700 carry permits granted to RPO's, judges & the politically connected in a state of 9 million residents. The poor girl got both barrels & typed as fast as I spoke while using her headset for the phone . I think I'll be treated decently. She also mentioned Nappen & Bach were quoted for the story, so I'm in great company. I made sure to ask her what Nappen & Bach spoke about so as to ensure that I wouldn't be redundant & look like a fool. Between the three of us our side was well represented.

Well the Galactic Empire took its time but I was finally issued my custom Stormtrooper CQB Elite Sidearm. What do you guys think? (I had to go with the star wars theme. The rep said this was so unique that she took these photos before they wrapped it up for shipping to show her daughter lol. Hopefully, I should pick this up from GFH next week)

The Metropolitan Police Department has updated their website to be in compliance with the latest appeals court decision: https://mpdc.dc.gov/node/929382 "Pursuant to the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Wrenn v. District of Columbia and Grace v. District of Columbia, applicants for a license to carry a concealed handgun in the District of Columbia no longer need to provide a good reason for carrying a handgun." So another state goes shall issue!!! I will be making a trip to DC soon.

I will eat heart and tongue, but I draw the line at liver, pancreas, sweetbreads, kidney, and the other offal...yuck.

When it's cooked wrong. I have a moose heart and tongue coming to me on its way back from Maine right now. I'll save you some.

Thin. Cooked well. With maple syrup! When I was a kid we participated in a 3 pig butcher. The kids ( we) took all the scraps and cut the nasty parts off. And, we had a pig fat fight. Big ole black cauldron atop a wood fire. The old man running the scrapple mix would fork out an organ here and there. Heart tastes like rubber good times

I grew up helping my grandpa make scrapple. I thought it was normal for everyone to make and eat scrapple till I was middle school lol. I wish I was old enough to learn grandpa's recipe instead of just cranking the grinder. Scrapple is by far my favorite breakfast meat, gotta be crispy though! Porkroll and bacon are tied for second place.

I'm fairly sure "scrapple" in this post is zekespeak code for something else.... And Mr Texan has the appropriate response. Anyway, I've seen how scrapple is made, and I still love that stuff, Mrs Hungry has banned it from the house, but out at a diner....game on. Porkroll omelet - side of fried scrapple w/maple syrup. Fo shiz!

I tried scrapple at a local diner once. Did not like the flavor of it if it wasn't very (VERY) crispy. A few days later, I made the mistake of reading the ingredient list on a package at the store. Never again will I eat that crap. I have eaten some weird stuff in my day, but damn......you Yankees put some strange stuff into your mouths.

My wife's Grandfather flew one in WWII. He was able to be in Kentucky for the first flight of Glacier Girl after being restored. After he and his wife passed away, we were cleaning out their house, and I came across a box of letters. It turned out to be every letter he sent my wife's Grandmother during his time overseas. Some really neat stuff to read. My wife's uncle let me keep her grandfather's original pilot training handbook as well. There was a lot of history in that house. Thanks for posting the videos CAP.

the early/mid 2000's fords are great. 'cept for that $$% spark plug issue in some of the 5.4's. chevy's are nice too. they seem to hold up well. i don't see many problems with them. dodge,,,,,,stay away, toyota seems to be the winner here. those friggin things just run. their v8's seem reliable and strong. their v6's you can't beat. their interiors and bodies seem to hold up better than any of the "big three" too. as much as it pains me, i'd say go with the toyota,. there was a day when i'd have slapped the crap outta someone for saying anything japanese was better than our stuff. then i learned better....and their products got better.

LEOSA specifically says that no state can restrict ammo type. Mag capacity is what is not addressed. ETA: www.colddeadhands.com/docs/leosa.pdf

I walked into a busy deli up here and accidently asked for a pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll. The guy just stared at me and the whole place got silent. I could hear the cheese dripping on the sandwiches behind me.....feel the cold glassy stares from everyone in the store as a chill ran up the back of my neck. Counter guy sees whats happening and says "you mean Talor ham- to go right?" I said of course, didnt I say that?! I took my sandwich and rushed out to my truck and burned rubber out of there, looking in the rr view mirror I could see abunch of kids screaming and chasing after me. Wont make that mistake again!

The sig is nice, did you shoot any with an arched mainspring housing? usually fit larger hands better plus it will mimic your cz frame slightly.. you can also add one to your current 1911 if you liked it. Fiber optic front sight will fix you up..

Sounds like the Firearms Unit stuck it to Eric. Pulled (or non-renewed) his PRNJ Retail License which will cause the ATF to yank his FFL. Too bad, I liked Eric. On another note, the former site of Ed's (Tarpy) Gun Shop on Cooper Street in Deptford (Gloucester County) is the future site of "The Arsenal". The owner Tom says he hopes to be open in time for Xmas shopping and will be specializing in what he collects: WWI and WWII weapons and uniforms. Locals like myself are curious to see what he's got.
