A few years ago I got my wife a pair of yaktraks so she doesn't slip and fall when she shovels the driveway. She's due to get a new snow shovel this year and a snobrum so she can clean the cars too.

Nothing or you'll set an expectation that you'll have to do it every year.

This strange cicrumstance you outline above is yet to occur in my household. This is really considerate of you. I'm thinking I should get my wife a new lighter vacuum so it's easier to carry up and down the stairs.

There are no compromises, the Demorats have control of the state. Our only courses of action are: 1. Non compliance 2. Using the court systems 3. Civil disobedience 4. Compliance and surrender

A day at a spa is always a winner. For some strange reason women like to pretend they are japanese food and get wrapped in seaweed. A monogrammed range bag, if you want to go with the shooting theme. Women love handbags, what says I love you more than something she can stuff with guns and ammo with room to spare for a compact? Concert tickets are pretty good too. Double P gave the most rational answer. Show her you have been paying attention and even a $20.00 gift can be more valuable than a pair of diamond earrings. If she has any hobbies or interests, like if she said I always wanted to try making pottery, buy a gift certificate for pottery lessons. But you better make sure you treat every creation as a masterpiece or that gift can go south.

I can understand why moonshiners set up on public land. Doing it on their own property might result in seizure of their home or farm if they're caught.

Take notes throughout the year of things she's likes but doesn't want to buy herself normally. This year I purchased one of those Fuji instant cameras, some bath bombs and something other that was little that I am forgetting. It's not the dollar amount it's the thought Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Try Sony’s PS Vue. Similar service with DVR included. Went with it about a year ago and ditched the triple play. That and internet from Optimum and phone from Ooma and I am saving about $100 a month over what I used to pay.

Hey everyone, new member originally from NY but now transplanted to Jersey. Went from the fire back to the frying pan I guess but I have to say I had no issues or delays getting my FID (4 weeks compared to 6 months for the permit in NY) and am enjoying the more relaxed pace and wider spaces around my new home. Looking forward to learning a lot from my fellow enthusiasts here, see you around!!

"All Police departments should be aware that N.J.S. 2C: 58-3.f states, in part, “There shall be no conditions or requirements added to the form or content of the application, or required by the licensing authority for the issuance of a permit or identification card, other than those that are specifically set forth in this chapter.” verbatim

Thanks DirtyDigz!! As you all can see & read, Rosey has been a busy boy! And CNJFO can really use both members AND money for upcoming law suits! Yes, we've grown big enough to get involved with THAT, but we need YOUR HELP! Immediately after the Sunday ANJR&PC Executive Board Meeting mentioned in the story above, I went to Telco Sportsmen's Club next to the Atco Speedway to shoot 5-Stand with the former NJ2AS Communications Director (Theresa Inacker), whom is a recent widow, single parent and Facebook friend of mine. Those of you that are my or her Facebook friends can see the photos on our pages. She's almost ready to jump back into the Zoo that is Second Amendment work here in NJ. For those that aren't aware, Theresa is a lawyer at the Joint Base, and she is solely responsible for getting Emily Miller to Jersey for a Book Signing of "Emily Gets Her Gun"! I'm giving her the time she needs to grieve, but I do apply light arm-twisting. Theresa is also excited to read the good news in the article I wrote above, and is looking forward to working with CNJFO in the near future! So the cat's outta the bag, and now you folks know why I couldn't be at last Sunday's NJGF Shotgun & Pumpkin Shoot at Clinton WMA. I have to weigh who, what, where & when I make personal appearances since I'm "always working" for all of us. Here's where to join and learn more: http://www.cnjfo.com/join-us Rosey

I travel through NY all the time with my firearms, I hear you on the bad reputation but I have a few people in high places that are friends so I’m not too worried about it. I go through Westchester County also instead of through NYC. I have a 38 revolver and shotgun that I would be taking ownership of so I am good there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Has she had any formal training? Perhaps a class that both you can enroll in together? Shotgun, rifle, or a CCW class, which would be ideal if you travel out of state. Regards, TokenEntry

The PSVue is very interesting. How’s the guide interface? Looks like it gets the local channels and Local NBC/Comcast sports channel. Guess I’ll do the math of scaling back comcast to just Internet and see what the savings would be.

I agree it would have no effect in a free state. Answer Yes Denied by NJ. Issuing person/agency would probably send you a note with your permit to the effect of "About time you smartened up and got the heck out" Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

The vast majority of companies - certainly any with even a half-decent HR department - will be very circumspect about what info they give out. Most will provide only the most skeletal employment verification - "Yes, he works here currently. Yes, he's worked here since 2015" and that's pretty much it. Too many companies got their asses sued off for giving negative info about current (or former) employees. Still, I think it's invasive for the State Police to be calling to verify employment. Could be perceived badly. (Fortunately, I'm self-employed - there's no one on the form for them to call other than me!)

Party of 6 didn't run out of money AFAIK; I followed them closely and donated twice. One of the two main plaintiffs (Albert Almeida) was granted a carry permit. The other plaintiff dropped out of the case, not sure why. Since the only plaintiff who remained was granted a permit, there was nothing that could be litigated further. The out of state lawyer who was representing Party of 6 was Stephen Stamboulieh - he was also the lawyer who ran the case that got the stun gun ban thrown out. I met him in person at an event, he's the real deal as far as an RKBA advocate: http://www.sdslaw.us/

Fake news, or bad and incorrect info passed along to your friend.
  45. 1 point
That does not sound right. The State Police runs the SP-066 report and provides the results to the local PD. See below: I, __________________________________________________ am aware of my rights under N.J.S.A. 30:4-24.3, and the Health Insurance Portability and Insurance Accountability Act (HIPAA), 45 C.F.R. 164.50, and consent to the disclosure of my mental health records to the Chief of Police and the Su per in ten dent of State Police, or their designees, for the purpose of verifying my fi rearms permit application and my fi t ness to own a fi re arm under N.J.S.A. 2C:58-3. I understand that copies of this authorization shall be considered suffi cient authorization for the release of records. Sending the report back to the State Police after the State Police send it to the local PD makes no sense.

You're thinking like a polite, reasonable person... I don't think those qualities will be appreciated or shared by Murphy and Weinberg. They DON'T CARE what gun owners think is "reasonable". They don't care to "compromise". They'll do what they want, no matter how stupid and this will be fought in the courts... and it will be a long wait. And in the meantime, each gun owner needs to decide for himself (or herself) what their individual level of compliance or non-compliance will be.

"... no permit or license will be required to obtain or possess a stun gun. ..." This won't be good enough for the naysayers, because it doesn't say "carry".
