Have you heard about this? Clint Eastwood has made a film about those Americans that interrupted a terrorist attack on a train in Europe awhile back. Although the topic itself is certainly dramatic, he's also done a really unusual (risky?) thing for a director -- the film stars the actual heros. From the trailer, it appears to have actors portraying them as kids in earlier years, but them portraying themselves as adults. I guess we'll see if they can act or not. Hey, it worked for Audie Murphy many years ago (you youngsters can look that up if you don't know who he is!) I predict: 1) Hollywood critics will trash this film, and 2) it will be wildly popular. Here's the preview:

That is the point. They want to make it as hard as possible. Sure some could figure creative ways around it. But most wont have time. Eventually it becomes too much of a PITA and the majority will stop. Those that keep trucking will be “nuts” or “suspects”

Refer to how people were getting caught with fireworks cross from PA into NJ. Yes, they had enough resources so sit at the border and catch people getting fireworks in. Second, the more laws people violate, the more criminals they get to make out of us. The more law abiding turn into criminals by violating stupid laws, the better it is for them. I didnt know until recently, California actually has border checkpoints for Agri inspections of all vehicles entering from Nevada. So the infra and manpower is already there.

I must be naturally rebellious (or devious?). I would be inspired... viewing it as a challenge to be overcome!

It's stufff like this that makes me glad that I'm an atheist. I am not judging or attempting the steer someone away from their chosen beliefs. I actually admire people who have faith. It's something I never had nor will I ever be able to wrap my head around. That being said I do have respect for people who have faith in a greater power.

that's actually not true as the Supreme Court in the 19th century ruled that ammo was included in your right to bear arms as ammo/powder was considered essential to that right

As I said before, the market is small enough you can manipulate it with a few hundred million. Banks are getting into it, and they have the cash to manipulate it it. What hasn't been reported on nearly as widely as "OMFG!!!! IT'S AT $XBAJILIONTY!!!!!" is that the few primary entities doing bitcoin exchange have been ramping up their fees in addition to this spike in pricing. So.. the people who warehouse bitcoin and have huge piles of cash, and thus the tools to manipulate the market are profiting off the bubble to an increasing proportion while possessing the tools to manipulate the market to cause a further feeding frenzy. I'm sure this is entirely above board like deutschebank and price fixing metals, and goldman sachs who performed the EXACT same service for metals and were delaying disbursements and front running customer orders into the market.

True but there are other ways of regulation. I point to liquor, cigarettes, gas, NyQuil, etc. Interstate commerce could also come into play as an excuse they could use. I also predict ammo may end up with special taxes applied just as liquor, cigarettes, gas, diesel fuel, home heating oil, etc. If Governor Buck Tooth tries to move ahead with some of his other wacko socialist ideas he'll need to reach to the moon to find monies.

If the various groups are coordinating and have a plan, that’s fantastic. Notice I said “see”. That same sentiment was expressed in your other thread on the subject by many people. The impression I see (here at least) is that folks are weary from past promises of other orgs that haven’t lived up to expectations. Showing, announcing, highlighting any cooperation and coordination between the orgs could help rebuild the trust and enthusiasm. It could also be that folks here are just keyboard warriors and assholes. Jury is still out on that.. and don’t take anything above as an inditement of your posts. You’ve provided a lot more info on what’s going on than I’ve seen in a while.

Ammo will be a bit harder to control! There are a few fireworks stores in PA strategically placed near bridges to NJ. It is easy to have a car watch for NJ tags leaving one of those few places. Ammo is available at many gun shops in PA and Delaware.... Not as easy to have a plant at every one!

Gun shops are not in business to perform services for free....There will obviously be a fee!

I’m curious how this wouldn’t violate interstate commerce. Are there other examples besides actual firearms similar to what they’re trying to pull with ammo?

Don’t want to hijack but this had me thinking how I want to replace my two garage door openers. Nothing wrong besides the fact they are loud as hell! Looked online I see the chain or belt driving, what is better? Also what brands do people recommend?

ON the subject at hand, every movement needs different personalities to fit different roles. It’s ok and preferable to have a good cop, bad cop, blowhard, schmoozer, etc. the key things everyone working the same plan. That’s what we don’t see between the various orgs in NJ.

The 3 gun rig, I don't even want to think about how much money is sitting there. Just about every part on here is from a company that sponsors 3 gun matches and alot of the parts came from the prize table. Gun has absolutely zero felt recoil.

I was, of course, kidding. In all seriousness, having declared ridiculous background checks, fees, FFL requirements, permits, NICS etc as "reasonable regulations", I don't see any court ruling any differently for requiring that ammo be shipped to an FFL. In fact, I don't see any court declaring any registration of firearms, ammo etc as unconstitutional at all. Not that its not valid argument, but thats the way courts are, atleast for now. I will be happy to be proven wrong.

one thing i found puts cops at ease when they popped me for speeding? cop: is your record clean? me: it was up till about 45 seconds ago. i've had a couple laugh at me. a couple gimmaced as in calling me an asshole. some just said to wait. not a single one ticketed me for the speed.

I've seen a few ammo suppliers doing this. And yes we are next. Buy it cheap stack it deep! some good deals out there and ammo is at a 4/5 yr low.

I'm trying to avoid shipping as I've been on a pretty silly spending spree lately and it's just easier to use cash and keep it off the radar. I figure it's about $255 from PV and $280 from King's. For $25 difference it's worth local payment if at all possible!
