6 pointsI am really loathe to respond to your bait, because it just gives you undeserved attention. However, there are several points that need to be addressed. First are your disparaging remarks about "God given rights". The bill of rights does not grant you those rights, it simply enumerates them. For those that are religious, that would be interpreted as "God given". For those of us that are not religious they would be natural rights. The 2A is actually the right of self-preservation. Driving a car or flying a drone are not rights. A more accurate analogy would be, do you want the government to vet you before it allows you to practice the religion of your choice? In your opening paragraph you have already given yourself away when you allude to the "other side's" argument as possibly having more "common sense" - a buzz-word used by the anti-2A faction for years. They have no common sense. An element of common sense requires logic - the arguments they make to oppress our right are based on emotion, not logic. There is no compromise when it comes to the 2A. The antis have been selling the "compromise" paradigm for years. Their definition of compromise is that we give up something and get nothing in return - I don't think that is how Webster defines compromise. If you truly believe what you wrote, you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. I'm done here - I will give you no more recognition and I hope that my fellow board members feel and act likewise. Be gone troll. Adios, Pizza Bob

4 points13 years on a water heater (the term ‘hot water heater’ drives me crazy...if the water is already hot....it’s a water heater, damn it! ) is running on borrowed time. Replace that puppy ASAP. My buddy just experienced a catastrophic failure of his water heater while he was out of town. HUGE mess in his basement. After our friend’s experience, we replaced ours with a 50 gal. Bradford White unit. I am told through a few plumber friends they are the best water heaters on the market.

-
2 pointsBradford White, is only sold at supply houses. They don't do big box stores. I will get you one at my cost if you want one. You just have to come to Randolph to get it. That's where my supply house is located. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

2 pointsNote to future self, all current and future home owners. Keep a section of those near water heater at all times that is long enough to reach sump pump, basement drain / sink, etc. This will ensure that when your water heater starts leaking, in January, after historic cold spell, you aren't trying to use garden hose from outside that is filled with ice to drain to water heater. Leaving you to resort to emptying by bucket. Your welcome.

2 pointsYou really can't beat a Remington 870! I have one I purchased in 1979 and it has never let me down!
-
2 pointsRemington 870, 200 year commemorative with A grade walnut, they are beautiful. It's like the 70's are here again, just for a short time, until the limited editions run out. Cabelas has them for $375.00 right now.
-
2 pointsif you plan on staying in the home, a tankless is great... if you're on your way out in the next few years, put in an replacement tank. It's really not a difficult job, find a friend who will help you lug it down into the basement and learn to sweat in pipe. I installed a Navien myself a few years back and it's been wonderful. Hot water until the cows come home.

2 pointsShould have done it 3 years ago when the price was $500 less... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
-
2 pointsI'm raising my prices. 50 gallon atmospheric vent gas Bradford White I am at $1,250 without permits. In my area permits run from $9-$90 so I don't include them in price. Tankless my price is the same as yours $3,000 and up. Power Vent 50 gallon is $2,000 and up. Had to edit tankless price. Sorry for confusion.
-
2 pointsAverage price these days for A typical 50gal replacement is $1500. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk They're slated to last 7-10 years. Beyond that it's a ticking time bomb.

2 pointsI don’t think you are as familiar with the laws in N.J. as you think you are. Also - Internet secret: When you correct spelling and grammar during an internet discussion, you’ve lost most of your credibility. Because, see we all make mistakes and you end up with egg on your face. For example: • You should not start sentences with prepositions • You have a run on sentence. It should either be rewritten or you could use a semi-colon to fix it. • It should be badly, not bad • I think you meant you “don’t have THE right” • You missed a bunch of commas Just sayin’

1 pointshows that we'd like to see re-made. me? black sheep squadron. 12 o'clock high rat patrol i'd just thuoght about this while watching black sheep squadron last night.

1 pointIf he does nothing it is the same as passing. He can veto but “nothing” is the same as signing.
-
1 pointYou are correct. Term was in use in the 80s to my experience. Take a M16 or AR, punch out the serial number on the magazine well, and you have a "ghost gun".

1 pointI have an old Mears 12ga shotgun, and am trying to figure out what is worth. The stock is cracked, and the right side barrel has a dent, and the hammer doesn't hold back. Any thoughts?
-
1 pointI have both, huge difference when ccwing in Florida, sold the 26. I really want a 9mm in the size of a Ruger LCP2, love that one fits in front jeans pocket, looks like a phone in the pocket. Always have this one with me.

1 pointI stopped using AO Smith because of the wacky things with my water heater and because they cater to Ferguson. As a matter of fact I think they are owned by the same company Woolsley or something like that. They also own build.com, faucet.com, and I think lighting.com. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

1 pointNot same as standard. Same as your pricing. Around $3,000 not including electric and permits. That is for Navien which is also not increasing gas pipe size. Noritz are closer to $4,500. Yearly maintenance is a must on tankless. However it is easy if installed correctly. I have yet to replace one other than Bosch and because customer wanted to upgrade what builder put in. Speaking of I have a hardly used Noritz for $400.

1 point13 years leaking from the bottom it's toast. The others are correct. It is a water heater common abbreviation w/h. No such thing as hwh what you have probably seen is hwb. Tankless water heater options if you have gas Noritz is the original. Navien usually doesn't require you to upgrade gas piping. AO Smith & Bradford White (best traditional water heaters) make tankless now as well. Avoid Rheem or anything in the box stores IMO. I'm also not a fan of Rennai. How many bathrooms in the house? Is there a Soaking or Jetted Tub?
-
1 pointWell, it’s Toast but still working.... I’d go on demand as a replacement... but that’s jus me

1 pointSemi interesting sea story: While I served aboard my 2nd submarine, we were tasked to take Spielberg and some of his crew (writers, I think) to sea for a week. They wanted to get an idea of how real submarines operated at sea, to add realism to the tv show. Spielburg is an righteous penis. His crew were pretty cool. They spent a lot of time talking to everyone to learn how a boat works, and how life at sea really was. Spielburg talked down to his crew and most all of our crew...as if we weren’t worthy of speaking to him. Not very gracious at all. This was the same submarine that did many of the surface shots of the ‘USS Dallas’ in ‘Hunt for Red October’. We had a very nice picture of the Red October control room with all the cast/crew on it...signed by everyone. It was prominently displayed in the middle level passageway. They have since decommissioned that boat. I WISH I had that picture!!!

1 pointHere is who buys this "stock". A 19 year old kid in 'murica who takes said stock, his budget AR, 3 friends, one chick (there's always one) and a case of Tula 223 from Wal-Mart into the local community shooting pit. They only shoot it one time because the gun jams due to the gun AND the stock AND the shitty ammo. They reinstall the regular stock and throw the "bump stock" in the closet. Done

1 pointOK, somebody make this post a sticky. It will save everyone the time and effort of posting photos of their Glocks. Open this image: Glock 17 That's a photo of a Glock 17, a standard size Glock. The other standard size Glocks (G20, G21, G22, etc) look exactly like that. Now move closer to your screen. See how the gun looks bigger? That's a competition model (G34, G35, G41). They all look the same. Move a little closer to the screen. You are now looking at a long slide (G17L, G24, G40) There is no need to look at photos of the individual models; they're the same damn thing. Now, from your normal viewing position, move a little further from the screen. See how the image got smaller? You are now looking at a compact model (G19, G23...). Finally, move back just a little more. You're now looking at the subcompact models (G26, G27, G29, G30...) That's it. The entire Glock pistol model matrix, in one photo. Mods--you may now close this thread.

1 pointDoes it look cool? Does it make you drool? Does it quiet noise? Oops, sorry you live in NJ? Then NFW! You cannot be trusted with it, and why would you want one anyway? You gun nut, it's people like you the NJSP needs to keep an eye on. Your just a criminal looking for an opportunity!
-
1 pointI believe so. the "evil" features AFAIK don't apply to pump action shotguns. but the question is, do you really want a pistol grip only shotgun? you can really only fire that from the hip. most people get hit in the face trying to shoot those at eye level. while they look bada**, they're not as functional. is this what you mean?
